'10 MS OT Damien Robinson

I think we wanna take 6 OL. We have 3 now and Chaz and Cullen are the 2 we want the most. I think we want Stone or Robinson as #6, in a dream scenario anyways...
And Torrian Wilson, Shon Coleman, Kouandijo are pretty much impossible at this point? Would we take those three over Robinson, LV?

I'm not sure about Wilson. I'd rather have Robinson or Stone than him, but that's just me. But yes, we would take Coleman or Arie over him for sure imo. They are going to be much tougher to get than Stone or Robinson though...

I think 6 is about right. I'd lean to 5 though unless we randomly accept a verbal from Delvin Glass or something. I don't know that we'll pull Robinson or Stone.

Again, I think we're at 5 right now, but I do agree the 6th would be best case. I wouldn't limit that 6th to just a Robinson/Stone possibility though. Wilson is a small possibility...

Arie is not at the top of this staff's list. I'm not saying they wouldn't take him but he wouldn't "trump" all others.

Vols have a great shot with Robinson if they really want to go in that direction.

I think we'd take T. Wilson before any of them. Although Robinson could play guard also.

I think we get Cullen, C. Green, and T. Wilson

You take Arie if just to get his brother. He's no slouch either though. Could be a dominant guard. Could play tackle too IMO.

I was saying this earlier in the thread... the combo of the two would be a great overall catch, but just going tick for tack I'm taking T. Wilson, D. Robinson, C. Green, and maybe even a true OG in Glass over Arie. I'm just not sold on him. I'd rank him right in there with a Glass or a Stone just on our OL board.

His kid brother, however.... he's going to be a mean tackle. His armspan is something like 8'2? Something just ridiculously absurd.

I will tell you right now we are going to land Cullen and Chaz Green. Green isn't going to be turned and Cullen is already taking the classes that Bruce Irvin didn't want to take so that he play in the SEC.

I think we add James Stone to that and one of Robinson, Coleman (not looking likley) Wilson or Kouandjio and call it a day on the line.

So you think we pull 7 OL??

I know we've got Cullen and Chaz basically locked at this point in time, but James Stone? I think we take Wilson and that's it.

I say we stay at 6. However.... Robinson is a slight possibility if he actually stays uncommitted long enough to make his OV here. If he really likes his visit, 7 is attainable. I think Robinson stays in-state though JMO....

Besides him....I don't think we're in the top 2 for Arie. Coleman I just don't see that either...pretty much locked for Aubbie IMO. Stone likes UT more than he lets on, but I still think he goes to Bama or ND depending on how Brian Kelly recruits him.

OG Fulton, OG Wilson, OT Green, OT James, OT Pair, OT Cullen

I'll be very pleased if we land Green, Cullen and T. Wilson. Those three are all legitimate chances to make this class and would definately bolster this class to a top 3 to 5 ranking without a doubt.

Yes, easily. Now that Jose Jose is gone, I think we take two guys that project at guard: Stone, and one of the others I mentioned.

I also think Cullen is a take guy because of his potential to help early and Chaz Green is virtually locked up.

BTW, I agree on Robinson probably staying in-state. I think when it comes time for him to commit, most schools will already have or feel good about the guys on their board.

I agree. I think in the end he probably ends up at one of the Miss schools. I also think he's a guard in college. No way do I see him being a Tackle in the SEC.

I can't see how we take 7 OL. I mean, we might, but we have alot of needs to fill. We need some LBs. A true TE for sure. We've got to get 2-4 DBs with Berry leaving, Rogan possibly (probably) gone, Vinson gone, and Edwards gone. Probably another DL, maybe 2, and a RB. It won't hurt my feelings one bit if we take 7; I just think it will be hard...

And the ship sailed on Glass. We haven't made contact with him in a few months. We are in on to many higher rated OL...

The thing is, we probably aren't going to get a pure TE unless we settle which I doubt we do, it's looking increasingly unlikely we add more than one LB and we may not even get a guy that we want, but we have an abundance of guys at OL looking at us -- a need position. I think that we take who we can get to fill the spots and look to next year rather than settle for someone that's just going to be recruited over.

CLK has said some strong words on how he likes EEs. I could easily see him hold a few spots and backcount next year. At some point too, especially how we saw at LB this year, we need bodies. It will be a tough call, but we won't have all the info the staff will.

Yea, I always thought we'd sign 6 OL...

I think we take four more if it's the right four. If we were good on a RB, LB or TE right now I'd tend to agree with you. I just don't see us signing a second rate guy at all of those positions. I do think we end up getting one good lb, I just don't see getting two.
