'10 OH QB Andrew Hendrix

Yes thanks for the info!

From another thread, NYCvol has our chances with Hendrix at 70%. If other big name programs get involved that could go down but I like where we sit with Hendrix (and Scroggins even more for that matter) at this point in time.

He's just a late bloomer, it sounds like

Late bloomer, in a limited offensive system, in one of the hardest high school football conferences in all of America. So his stats aren't that important. People on here that don't like Hendrix are just basing it on his stats (probably a lot of the same people that are really into Cam Newton).

Our staff saw him in person and liked him enough to offer and recruit him harder than any other school. I'll trust our staff over his stats

I think the reason people that favor Cam Newton is because his size, speed, and some experience under his belt.

I like Hendrix and I think he will be a very good QB but I still favor Scroggins over all the others.

Im beginning to think u can no longer get this kid to be your #2 QB, he either will come to UT the man or go to another big school. Kiffin has nothing to lose by getting Newton, if he doesnt work out, oh well. Thats why you sign 3 QBs this class.

Oh I agree, I just meant that some people buy into numbers too much in recruiting (whether it be game stats or physical stats)

Don't forget star pow-wa!

I think this staff will find some diamonds in the rough and few that fly under the radar because of the way they recruit. They are already looking into the '11 and '12 recruits and evaluating them.

Think about it, if Cam or Marve come as well as Hendrix he will most likely be the #2 QB to one of them. He will have his chance to compete but I think he will need sit a season to get some experience. I think the '11 season I think he has a better chance of being #1.

Most HS QB's that are this highly recruited, think that they can come in as a Freshman and start. The truth is that very few can. But, most are ready for the challenge to over take the starting job. I believe that the really good ones expect to compete for the starting job and are not afraid to do so.

It does not matter if we get Marve or Newton, I believe we will sign a really good QB out of HS. Right now it sounds like Hendrix, Scroggins or Heaps.

Virginia was one of a few schools that felt it was in good shape for Cincinnati Moeller's Andrew Hendrix, but the recent offer from Tennessee has everyone wondering if the Vols have taken the lead. Hendrix hopes to narrow his list soon.

This vid was put up on VQ by a kid who was wanting people to let them know what they thought of him on the field. He is a defender from Ohio...

A few minutes later somebody said, "Who's throwing the ball Crompton! LMAO"

He responded with, "No actually somebody worse, Andrew Hendrix"

He said Hendrix was the QB at 2:16 and 4:14 of the video...

Well at 2:16, there was nothing wrong done by whoever the QB was.... 4:14, the pass was too high, but this doesn't put any negative light on Hendrix whatsoever.

Based on the other Youtube clip of the Hendrix reel, he's number 12 (as was the QB at 4:14), the earlier was number 15. Either way, that's one high ball and based on his highlight reel, it doesn't appear to be the norm for the kid. Just in case anyone wants a point of reference:

That is a defender from MBA in Nashville...they just played Moeller at the beginning of last season
