'10 OH QB Andrew Hendrix

SIAP

Hendrix wants to make his decision by the end of the summer if he can and is hoping to narrow his list of schools to less than six in a few weeks. Tennessee was thought to be the leader, followed by Virginia and some others, but an offer from Ohio State could be too much to pass up. Hendrix's sister is an Ohio State grad and still lives in Columbus, so there are family ties to the school. Sources say Hendrix would have jumped all over an Ohio State offer a couple of months ago.

The Big 10 hasn't been the Big 10 for about 10 years... They've really dropped off.

The SEC is pretty clearly the best year in, year out right now. Second place is a revolving battle between the Pac10 and Big12. Neither the ACC or Big East are serious contenders right now.

Who had more top 25 teams in the last decade? That's what I care about. All your other info could be skewed.

i agree 100% i will not base my opinnion on a confrence for just 1 year of play that is moronic.

SEC
big 10
big 12 these 2 could be debatable but thats the top 3.

i do belive that michigan will be a powerhouse again
penn state contenues to be tough year in and year out, i picked them to play bama for the NC at the start of last year (yes i hate bama as much as the rest of you)

in the ACC i belive florida st is gona be back on top soon and UNC may get to the same level as VT (who is my 3rd most hated team) they ran from the big east so they didnt have to play WV just when they were on the rise and that was a big rivalry.

that being said i will still call it the ACCC atlantic cup cake confrence.

I actually used the whole decade as a part of my opinion. In case you didn't see the record of Pac 10 teams versus all conferences since 2000, here it is again:

Pac10 Vs

Big 10 28-18
Big East 9-6
SEC 10-7
Big 12 22-21
ACC 5-5

17 games above .500

PAC 10 has done well against the SEC, very well. We suck against them, UT that is

I cant believe I agree with Vader on something. The Big 10 is by far the most overrated conference due to their ESPN contract. Other than the fact watching a Saturday morning Big 10 game on ESPN is slightly better than watching QVC, the Big 10 has nothing to offer past an Ohio State team that gets thrashed on a stage they don't belong on.

Not to be a jerk.....but start a new thread for the big 10 sucking or not sucking debate.

QB recruiting is too critical to weed through page after page dedicated to debating the strength of the big 11.

"I talked to him I think on Sunday night, and it was a great sense of pride and a great honor to have an offer," said Hendrix. "It is a great offer to have being an Ohio kid and being a fan of Ohio State along with a couple of other schools. Just having the opportunity to play for the Buckeyes it is huge."

His older sister attended school at OSU, and still lives in Columbus. "It was my mom that told her, and she was very excited about it. I know she would love for me to go there so she could watch. It would be a great experience for her as well."

"After this week I am really going to think about the process of cutting things down and deciding where I am going to go to camp, and we will go from there with my decision," said Hendrix.

Damn this kid is getting some nice offers. Doubt they're done coming.

Also OSU has offered Hendrix, where is LSU's offer to Legaux? Anyone else find it strange that Ole Miss and Tennessee are the only Pro-Style schools to offer Legaux?

Well maybe not strange...just telling.

I do Sab, considering his other top schools are Michigan, WVU, and Oregon...which are obviously high dual threat locations.

I just don't like being in the same company as Houston Nutt when it comes to offering a QB. His offense is run-oriented as well and is completely different from what we are trying to do. I guess I'm still trying to get my head around this offer. It just doesn't make a whole heckuva lot of sense to me. Tajh Boyd was more of a pocket passer than Legaux.

If you don't think Kiffin's offense is "run-oriented", you are going to be severely disappointed.

My pipe dream of Scroggins and Hendrix together has all but died.

Muchie has better Height than Boyd, but I agree that Boyd looked a little more polished in the pocket.

Hopefully I am wrong.

Kiffin's offense once running to full capacity will very likely be a 50/50 run pass offense.

This year probably 70/30

No doubt, but after watching USC film, I'm not sure if we definitely need a QB with all the skill in the world. We need a game manager and leader. Leinart never made tough throws at USC. He had outstanding receivers that ran excellent routes. We just need someone who knows where to go with the ball and can deliver accurately.

It will be until he gets his QB under center, but you will never see this offense utilize a running QB like Houston Nutt has done in the past.
