'10 OH QB Andrew Hendrix

Man those guys attack Kevin for no reason to me. I hate that **** man. Jealousy is rampant over there.

It is like everybody tries to one up each other over there. I am just gonna read and post here. Plus I don't really like any of those guys. I pretty much know everyone over here.
Yeah, I actually defended him over there the other day from something. It was actually one of VN's own that called him out. I won't name names. I like the dude, but I didn't get the criticism in that situation.

Well he is a smart guy. And he is having some success and it tears some of those guys up so bad.

When they try and talk for Brent it really pisses me off. I know Kev can be cocky or whatever but I'm not here to judge all the personalities in these boards. I am here to talk my one true Love and that is Vol football. And he brings the knowledge. So I am done over there.

I feel ya, I'd be a little p-o'ed myself. That other guy had no business starting that kinda stuff, it's just not necessary. And, yeah. I like Hendrix a lot, I think he's got a lot of talent. Hopefully, he'll bring it here and share it with the Big Orange nation.

We have already offered this kid I thought.......can someone please clear this whole thing up. Im confused

Hendrix was here two months ago. I think it's a fight with the Ohio State and Notre Dame now a factor.

I am not sure Hendrix is one of their top two qb's on their board at this point.

Per Hubbs.

It can't be true though. Sab says he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I refuse to believe it.

The "word" up here is that Hendrix isnt seriously considering OSU because of the current, and most likely future, depth chart.

Pryor will most likely be starting through his Senior year (unless he REALLY breaks out this year and next, Vince Young style), and OSU pretty much has that 5* dual-threat QB committed for the '11 class. I just dont see AH beating either of those studs out.

I said he was better than Munchie. As we have seen, that's not saying much. I wouldn't be surprised if Rettig wasn't ahead of Hendrix at this point on the coaches' board. Or if not, he may soon be.

But all Hubbs said is that he isn't one of the top 2 on the board. He could very well be #3 in that scenario, no? I've already said that Scroggins and Brunetti are 1 - 2. Pay attention. Flame fail.

Regardless, Hendrix is going to be a tough pull out of Ohio with OSU offering, Notre Dame, and others soon to follow.

The more film I watch and articles I read, the more I like this kid as our #2 in this class. He reminds me a LOT of Troy Smith. Not ideal height by any means, but a strong arm and seems to have lots of leadership abilities.

Per you...

I hope they are out there, but I'm not confident they are. I haven't seen anyone outside of Heaps, Scroggins or the committed guys that looks as good as Hendrix and I've watched a lot of film. I just think he's our best shot and the best fit if we miss on Scroggins.

This make sense to me!

That is of course considering that I, nor anyone else, expected the coaches to offer Brunetti for obvious reasons. That was before camp. Am I not allowed to change my opinion to account for an MVP outing by a Memphis QB?

I still think Hendrix fits our system much better than Brunetti, but it really looks like we aren't going to be able to land him with so many big schools around him offering. His offer list is far from complete too. But I guess all of those coaches are idiots for offering such a poor talent.

I think you should be as quick to state when you're wrong as you are when you are right.

Sab, I have been out of town for a week and need to get caught up. Have we officially offered Brunetti? I saw where he was really impressive in camp. Are your favorites now in this order? #1 Scroggins, #2 Brunetti, #3 Hendrix. I am a big Hendrix fan too, but it sounds like Brunetti might have jumped him even in the coaches eyes.

What exactly was I wrong about? I clearly stated everything as an opinion. And I clearly said "best fit." I still feel that Hendrix is the "best fit" after Scroggins. I'm not apologizing for an opinion. Get off it.

No. We have not offered Brunetti, but an offer appears to be forthcoming depending on where the coaches feel they are with Scroggins when he visits and camps. I don't have any "favorites" really. I think the coaches have Scroggins at the top of their list and Brunetti likely second. After that, it gets kind of cloudy.

Totally agree. Brunetti obviously had a really good camp and increased his stock with the coaches, but based on all the videos I have watched, after Scroggins, Hendrix best fits UT's system.

Our staff was all over H edrix before these other schools. They are certainly trend setters on the recruiting trail. Makes u wonder if people start jumping on the bandwagon after our staff evals a "no name" prospect. We give an offer first (which Ed O loves to do) and evryone else follows suit. I know that sometimes the type of offers influence TOS rankings as well.

Chase Rettig caught some eyes during camp and maybe considered one of the best QBs in CA (same state that J Scroggins hails from).

I'd be twice as comfortable with Newton as our starting QB next (2010) year then letting one of the freshmen develop or sign an even bigger stud in the 2011 class - which probably is a better QB class.

i think we could end up with bo wallace, legaux, and lamaison this year, and chris lemay is my big want for next year, with WR's sylve and landry.

i read this mourning we have offerd brunetti, im not sold on him yet, but unlike the rest of the guys it has nothing to do with his height, i just want to see what he does this fall before i get to excited about him. i do like hendrix though but i think he will end up @ psu or ohio state.

We aren't going after Legaux or Wallace. I would literally cry if our choices in this class were down to those two.
