'10 OK ATH Demarco Cobbs

or, in the case of scroggins, they dont care if they get him, and they get him anyway

while i waste my life contributing to his 9000 post thread.

I believe USC did back off. Maybe Texas did as well. Bama is pretty deep in receivers, which is what he wants to play. UT might offer better odds for early playing time than any team in his top five, and therefore may have a pretty dang good shot at him if he visits.

yeah, we thought that with Scroggins...

at this point, im not holding my breath for anything  logic doesnt seem to factor into recruits decision making

USC did not stop recruiting him. He just dropped them.

I think Tennessee has a legit shot with Cobbs but I still think Oklahoma is going to be difficult to beat in the end.

"I haven’t really ever thought about when I will make a decision," Cobbs said. "I will know when it’s the right time in my heart. I will probably take about three official visits or I might take all of them. I will probably commit silently."

"I will probably take officials to Tennessee and LSU as well (as Alabama). I don't have an overall favorite right now. Everyone is pretty equal. My schools I have right now are all good schools. I can’t go wrong with any of them."

Per Scout...

When is the date on that article. I thought that was about a week or two ago. Or was that from the article from yesterday his most recent. Just curious.

It was yesterday from Bama's Scout site after his visit...

He also says that he don't know if he will visit Bama during the season or wait until after the season before making back to Tuscaloosa. This article was not nearly as encouraging for Bama as the Rival's article was. Still sounded good for the Tide though...

We have gotten no love from Scout this year which is fine. Just curious since I hadn't read it yet. Plus I dont see him in TTown, especially if he waits till after the season. We are hoping that 3 other players who are planning to commit this week choose us though. Thanks for the info though. Again if we don't get him I hope he atleast stays in the SEC.

No love from them either this year. My opinion of both those sites is anyone can work for them and have no clue what they are doing.

So does Scout. They have Millner 1 and Joyner 2.

1 Demarcus Milliner
(Stanhope Elmore HS)
Millbrook, AL 6-1/185/4.35 Committed to Alabama
2 Lamarcus Joyner
(St. Thomas Aquinas HS)
Fort Lauderdale, FL 5-8.5/165/4.40 Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami (Fl), USC

Joyner hasn't really proved he can cover anyone honestly. He could end up being the best, but at this point, Milliner is the more proven commodity.
