Boys I know you are all UT or bust, so listen. We are UT, we have the best stadium in the country. We have as big a fan base as any school. We have one of those Sears trophies. Now we have the best recruiting coaches in the country because of the previous. I am as guilty as the rest of thinking when USC, Oklahoma, Notre Dame or Florida are in a battle with us we are second fiddle. Just remember in the past, given the opportunity on and off the field, we have beat them all.

Think about how much we all lived or died with Patrick Turner. This year Kiffin (the guy who got Turner to USC) already has committed two people of his skill level in Ambles and Milton, and may get another in Prater.

Prater's dad likes us because he thinks Fulton will be a good influence on his son. I think we could end up with a whole Illinois group as you can see from my other posts.

I thought we would too, but after interviewing him, trying to turn him would be a waste of time. And he didn't mention anything about a UT visit when I spoke to him a few days ago.

I don't know really. I'm sure we would watch him closely. I keep switching back and forth on taking 4 WRs especially after seeing some of the holes UT has this week in practice. WR is not one of those holes imo. We are solid there, and Ambles, Cobbs, and Milton would probably be enough for this class. We have to fill the holes at QB, TE, OL, DL, and LB. I think the schollys may be better used on players in those positions...

You can't ever have enough good WRs. Besides, this year we are addressing the need for possession receivers and big wide outs. We still need 2 more guys IMO.

There's no guarantee Austin Rogers gets a sixth year. He's already used one medical redshirt. And we lose Quintin Hancock for sure. Also I'm pretty sure Teague ends up on defense. I may be wrong and he's making plays at WR right now, I just think that he'll be needed over there more.

We don't need more than 4 WR's in this class, even that is probably too many for this class. The only way we get more WR's than that is if we get Cobbs and Prater along with what we already have now.(Milton and Ambles)

I just think the needs are more pressing at other positions than WR. In 2010, the WR lineup of Jones, Warren, Nuke, Teague, Rogers, Ambles, Milton, and Cobbs would be fine by me...

And imo, Teague will stay at WR. We have too many young, solid DBs as it is. I don't know what they are gonna do with them all...

Cobbs has had a very enjoyable practice, and told the coaches he could see himself playing for us in the future. He talked with Gerald Jones and Oku and they talked about UT. I heard Demarco told the coaches that this was the best school he has seen this far.

I think cobbs commits this weekend.JMO though. It really sounds like he likes it there alot and wants to play there.

I agree with you on your hunch. This kid will commit soon. Prater better hurry, the bus is about to fill up!!!!!!!!
