'10 OK ATH Demarco Cobbs

Yes, he does. I think that's more a result of having to think about what he's going to do because it's an unfamiliar position than anything. I have been saying for awhile that Cobbs could very well end up at safety. I still believe that's a possibility. But right now he's being told that he's going to be a WR.

Cool man....just wanted your opinion, as I am not by any means even an average "talent evaluator". Does Demarco care what position he plays in college? Are we truly recruiting him as an ATH, or just at WR?

No high school WR is "used to" breaking jams off the line.... bump and run coverage is pretty much non-existent in high school defenses.....especially when the other team has what is considered an elite WR. If anything, Miltons height will help him get off press coverage. Its not like he is built really skinny.....he has descent weight on him, and still has a year+ to grow.

He's pretty wiry. He's great great wingspan though, that I do know.

ya but look at little nukie. hes tiny, a lot smaller than ambles and he'll probably contribute right away even if it is just on special teams. not arguing with you and sab, i agree with you guys on this one.

What the heck do u even know about football utm??? How are you saying u agree with eric & sab, & they have different opinions on the subject. WTF???

I think he does. I think he wants to play WR. I haven't heard that for sure, but my guess is that's why we are recruiting him at WR. And no, we aren't recruiting him as an ATH. We're telling him he's going to be a WR. That doesn't mean that doesn't change at some point after he's on campus though. It happens all the time.

Article says he looks more around 6'4 then what he is listed. That is awesome. My only concern with cobbs was his height.

I'm not doubting that he wouldnt get touches early, but due to the injuries i think he'll get a lot more early touches in the season than if all our WRs were healthy. If we didn't have all the injuries, I think we would be used similarly to how Fulmer used Jonathan Wade as a freshman, but with more touches.

I think trying to compare what Fulmer did and what Kiffin would do is apples to oranges. Kiffin said he would get the ball in Nuke's hands from Day 1.

He quoted Jesse, kinfolk. Settle down. The dude has a right to his opinion too. And if it's wrong, I'll blast him. :)

I thought they were a lot higher on DeBose? Wasnt one of the main reasons Nuke flipped because UF wasnt "showing him the love" towards the end?

Debose may have been higher on their board, but any UF fan who tells you they didn't want Nuke is feeding you some BS.

This is interesting:

We both could be wrong on this one. Here's something from the Gridiron Kings...

ATH DeMarco Cobbs

<!--LIGHT CELL--> 6-1/198, Tulsa (Okla.) Tulsa Central
Cobbs might not be a receiver at the next level as the jury is still out on his ability to run routes and be consistent with his hands, but on Saturday he was very impressive on offense. Cobbs had four touchdowns in the tournament working mostly from the slot and was very good at finding openings and providing a good target for his quarterback. Cobbs was especially dominant in the beginning of the tournament and helped make his Southwest team one of the better offensive threats overall.
That is more interesting to me.

His opinion=====FAIL!!!
But what ever.
I agree that prater will be a physical player. I noticed that from day 1 of watching the film on him. If we get DC, I'm cool with not landing prater. It would be nice, but we can't get em all.

Regardless if we get DC or not......I see Prater going to USC. Our offense will be the same as theirs.....but it is already "proven" out there and he has 2-3 5* QB's on the roster to throw the ball up to him.

He made the comment that he liked the fact that UT did not pressure him to commit this weekend. Does that mean that we are waiting on Prater first?

Yea that what I was thinking bout prater also.
Looks like he will take the for sure proven route. I think he will be a good 1 too.

No. That's just the way we have been approaching recruiting. We aren't hard-selling anyone. We're just making sure they realize how important they are to us and how badly we need them.

When you see " event" by a recruits name it means his measurements were taken at the all-american game in January.
