espn...

3 out of the last 4 years we have got a top 3 kid from Oklahoma...do we have some sort of connection down there or is it just coincidence?

we almost got that Owens kid too. I'm not sure how we have a pipeline to oklahoma, it all started with Meach.

I think Prater is just flirting anyway, and will be a Trojan on Signing Day.
I really hope we can sway Prater, somehow. He is the last remaining ingredient (in the skill positions) needed to having a smoking hot offense. That would give us 3 6'5"-6'6" game changing targets (Milton, Prater, D.Jones WR/TE hybrid) in the game at any given point.

Prater has a chance...especially if we can get Newton in here next year, to be on a one of a kind offense. Defenses couldn't double team any one WR, and their ability to stretch the field can open huge gaps for the running game and for Newton to run free.

Wide receiver really is one of the few (if not only) place where having a lot of good players can help you. I used to not be on the Newton bandwagon...but if we used him purely as a running quarterback who could throw if he had to (basically, Tim Tebow-ish, without the jorts), and Bray as our pocket passer, I think it could work. And yeah, it would be a one of a kind offense. Which is better than our "one kinda offense" we got this season.

I am getting sick and tired of people basically assuming he will end up on defense and barring something unfornseen it will not happen.

He wants to play WR, and the staff recruited him to play WR.

Feel free to merge, this is just something that is really frustarating when so many people assume that Cobbs will be a DB or LB, which at this point is just flat out wrong.
