'10 RB Marcus Lattimore

USCe just got giles(sp) and Lane has stated he plays the best. Hardesty is gone after this year. Poole if sits at the bottom all season will probably transfer. So that leaves just the three freshman. If Lattimore sits his true freshman year then by then he will be going up against 2 juniors and a red shirt sophmore. Granted he will have compitition with the '11 recruits we get but if he is that good and has a year under his belt I dont see why he will have an issue.
My 2 cents

Yeah with hardesty leaving it opens up possibilities. I am not a Lattimore fan. I dont think he is REALLY good.

It looks like we want to rotate three backs at this point which means after Hardesty leaves there is definitely room for someone else to come in and get carries Everyone is rotating backs now so it's easier to get a freshman on the field. Regardless of reports though, I don't think Lattimore is going to give us a real shot.

Which back do we want the most Sab?

Agreed, I think Bernard is going to be the best shot in this class. I would also like UT to Keon Williams as well this kid is a bruiser!

I think Lattimore will also give TN a legit look. I still think he might end up at S.Car when all is said and done. His mom is really pushing him that way. Auburn would be the other I'd watch out for.

I really think Tennessee is going to get another big-time RB in this class. Right now I think the best bet is Bernard at Aquinas. Maybe Gore out of Miami.

I'm not one to put a whole lot of stock in what "X" says over at Tony Basilio's website, but sometimes he has some useful information. Anyways, today on his website he references how he believes we at least get a visit from Lattimore . . . TFWIW.

I think it was already announced that he was taking a visit with Willis and Miller. This is according to a short blurb on scout mentioning him reopening his recruitment to FSU and UGA.

Mack Brown would be nice because it takes him away from UF.

Storm Johnson everyone here thinks the staff is down on.

Gore could be good, but he may have all kinds of trouble with grades. He seems to say he has more offers than he does.

Dyer is my #1 and will be until he says he is going to Arkansas or Auburn. I think he is willing to come by himself, no package deal, and he is who I think we get.

G Bernard lots of people like on here alot more than I do.

I think Bernard is a really good back on an extremely talented team. I don't think he's the best back in this class, and the talent around him helps considerably, but I think if we can GET offensive line talent around him here at UT (just like you can say for any back) that he can succeed here, too.

With that said, and to stay on topic, I just don't see Lattimore coming here. He doesn't seem to love the depth we have, so floundering with USCe seems to be more appealing.

I think we have a shot here. I've followed recruiting 24/7 for less than a year, but I've learned to use your own reasoning over what recruits are telling media outlets in certain cases.

Is he crazy about our RB depth? No.

Is he from a competitive program where he's used to playing tough competition and a coaching staff that's very demanding? Yes, which is why I think Willis and Miller were so comfortable here.

We aren't the favorite by any means, but I think we're going to get an in-season visit in the next 2-4 weeks as has been reported.

I'm not holding my breath, but I think Miller and Willis are certainly getting us some late consideration.

I think we have little to no shot.............. He just added two teams to his list, and Tennessee was not one of them....

To those thinking Tennessee has a shot:

"Tennessee isn't really in there," Lattimore said. "It is a good school, a great school, but they aren't really in there."

I doubt he'll visit... We aren't in it for him.

Later that day, he told Chad Simmons he will be visiting UT in 2 weeks with Miller and Willis...

Well than the kid lied to one of the guys, or is just taking an official to Tennessee for fun. I really don't think we are much of a player at all for him.

I read that early on Monday and it holds no weight with me. Recruits say they're wide open and then commit to a school the very next day. His comments are par for the course.

He's taking an unofficial to UT. He's coming on his own dime and is riding up with Miller and Willis. He will still have all 5 of his officials left...
