It may not mean much but I just saw how Lattimore posted "ROCKY TOP" on Millers wall on facebook.

Thats gotta be at least a good sign?

I workout with a guy who is very good friends with Bobby Bentley (off. cord at Byrnes) and he said that the key to landing Lattimore is his family being able to see hime play. To me that puts us right in the running with USCjr and UGA. All 3 are within 3 hours of the Duncan area. His sister does attend USCjr but with Miller and Willis coming to UT who knows?

dont need an excuse but a scrimmage is just practice against different guys & counts for nothing. if u think rock hill is remotely close to the level of byrnes ur silly.

Seriously guys what element besides depth will this guy add to our team. Not that I don't think he's a good player but he's just not that special of a back. We have backs that are already here that can do what he does better.

It's good to have 4 rb, especially in the SEC because of the pounding they take weekly. Also, if Poole gets upset and transfers because of PT or his spot on the depth chart, that only leaves us with BB and Oku after Hardesty leaves.

He's not just an average back that we'd be picking up for depth, if you've seen any film you know he's got ability to be a gamebreaking back himself. Like others have speculated here, you have to be prepared for certain things happening:

1.) Hardesty graduates
2.) Poole could transfer
3.) Williams is unproven and may be hampered by his injury for a while
4.) Any injuries next year to Brown, Poole (if he stays) or Oku would leave us pretty thin at a position we might typically view as deep.

Lattimore is the best back in the class IMO. I believe he ends up a cock though. 4 years later, he goes undrafted.

There is some truth to this statement. Two years ago Brian Maddox was agreat running back out of T.L Hanna H.S.. He is now at USCjr splitting time with other backs. He really did have alot of talent out of h.s. that is going to waste. I'm not comparing him to Lattimore, before some of you guys get in a uproar, I'm just saying that by going to SC he may fade into the darkness.

I agree with you on this, I know it is a long shot, but I think our #1 target at rb should be Seastrunk.

Lattimore is not gonna happen.

Our two best bets are Dyer and Bernard. Bernard is the logical choice because Dyer is gonna be a tough pull.
