'10 SC DT Kelcy Quarles

How many of those busts and highly rated players are still on the team? And how many were permanently ruined and had their talent wasted from the previous coaching staff. You're a complete failure if you believe UT had even or better talent than VT tonight.

It is true. The Sullins twins...really nice guys but should never have been on the O Line. When you have walk ons who were not offered scholarships by anyone in the SEC starting for you, you are going to be in a talent deficit.

South Carolina defensive tackle commit Kelcy Quarles says he's still "solid to South Carolina" but will take visits to LSU and Tennessee in January. He just told me he doesn't have dates set up, but "we're working on that right now."

Just posted by a Mod on Rivals... HUGE news...

Let me know when this guy actually makes it on campus, then I will believe it.

"There are some visits I'm going to set up to Tennessee and LSU," Quarles said. "I'm still solid with South Carolina, but if I see something I like at LSU or Tennessee, it will all come down to signing day."

"I've got players [I know] like Sam Montgomery down at LSU and Corey Miller, he has talked to me about coming to Tennessee, playing on the line. I know coach (Ed Orgeron) is there."

"I was actually going to commit to Tennessee at their last spring game," Quarles said. "But, me and my dad talked about it. I went to Tennessee and then went back to South Carolina. I believe if I wouldn't have went to South Carolina, I think it would have happened. Tennessee has always been on my mind. I want to visit out there and check it out."

Per Rivals... That last paragraph says it all. Kelcy is a Vol, his dad is a Cock. It sounds like he is realy visiting this time. If I was USCjr., I would be VERY worried...

I can not stand when parents do this crap. To be clear, I would feel the same if the shoe were on the other foot here. I can understand a parent having and sharing concerns about a particular place with a kid. I can understand them making sure that they view all their options and consider the pros and cons of each place. What I can not stand is when a kid feels like they have gone through a process, made up their mind about a place that they want to spend the next 4-5 years, and then the parent stands in the way and manipulates the situation.

Well stated from both sides of the argument. Grandparents included..
