Its great to see this from a kid. A kid who WANTS to be in orange. Got to love it. I hope James Stone follows.

sounds like the kid bleeds orange. Tenn pride. I love it

“I follow (recruiting) a lot,” he said. “I’m really trying to look at players in Tennessee that we need to keep here.”

This. All you need to know about this kid. TN to the bone. He will sway some recruits mark it down.

His enthusiasm is great. That type of attitude I hope translates into leadership on the field

Really? i have always had the impression he may move to be a LB. why do you think this eric?

Dude loves the weight room from what I know and have read about him. I could see him doing both, but I would like to see him at DT just because he could put on 30 pounds and not lose a step.

I could see him maybe playing the 3 technique in our scheme after a couple of years of adding weight and working out. I think the coaches are eying him at end though. He may be too valuable as a pass rusher.

In a couple years him and Montori Hughes will be a force, coupled with any other lineman we get.

He is a wrestler too. Wrestlers are weightroom junkies. If he is going to enroll in January, he wont be wrestling his senior year which means that he wont be trying to maintain a lower weight. I could see him gain 25-40lbs of muscle mass by the beginning of the 2010 season.

Or he could just wrestle in a higher weight class

You don't lift too many weights when you are trying to cut weight.

If I remember correctly, you have to be under a certain weight even at heavyweight. Yes, wrestlers are weightroom junkies, and yes, you can lift and still loose weight. High reps burn any fat and then a lot of cardio with a trash bag. In highschool, you can probably get away with usuing a diuretic as well.

Dehydration's more common. It's really scary to have somebody drop dead in practice from having nothing left to sweat

Thats why they banned water pills in MMA and also football.
I have never known anyone to drop dead, but I have seen them pass out and be rushed to the hospital (trash bag running).

I think it was an Ohio State wrestler a few years ago that was running in practice. He dropped to the floor and that was it
