Hey, give kiffin a break. Saban and company have probably been recruiting this kid since he first got to bama, and kiffin is mainly focused on getting geathers, and more importantly bbrown. We do have one secret weapon in recruiting Saban doesn't have, that would be Smith from Oooooooooltewah.

We need this kid. Memphis will get hit hard by this staff. Bama, UGA, LSU all target west TN and get players year in year out. We need to slow that down.

While LSU and Alabama are his two favorites Maclin said he is also interested in Florida and Illinois. He has narrowed his focus to those four schools, but it's early and Maclin doesn't plan on making his decision until sometime between November and February of 2010.

Saban or Monte. Put it like that to the recruits and they chould be climbing over each other to play for us. Not always the case, but hell if I was a recruit and I had to the chance to play with a legend I'd jump all over it. It's a no brainer.

I doubt it really. Lance is a good recruiter, but he wouldn't have been nearly as great if he didn't have Saban.
