Justin's only problem might be his dad. UT did not offer James in 1988. So James does not really have any ties or loyalties to the UT football program. That is why you see so many other schools on the list.

Did they not offer his dad because he wasn't good enough or because the coaches didn't evaluate him in the first place.

Hes coming to camp in June.
Coach O, and Monte WILL turn him.
Will be the in the 1 or 2 position after camp.

Is this kid any relation to Jeremy Maclin???

That totally changes my whole opinion of him...thanks for the info. I just couldnt understand why he was snubbing us for no reason...I get it now.

With Coach O leading the charge for this kid, sounds like Marsalis Teague all over again. In-state guy who looked like he was going elsewhere until Coach O got on him. I'd put my money on him being at UT come next summer.

"I talk with Coach O all the time," Maclin said. "He has been by the school to see me work out more than once. I would say Tennessee is probably in my top. The thing about Coach O is that he is so persistent. When he decides he wants to sign you then he is not going to let up till you sign. I enjoy talking with him."

Maclin said he has also talked with Monte Kiffin and Lane Kiffin and he will see the Tennessee staff in a couple of weeks.

"I am going to do some one day camps," Maclin said. "I am going up to Tennessee for their camp and I am going to Illinois camp."

The latest article was most promising one yet by far. If he wants 2 play early, than it is a no brainer , UT. LSU will be the team to beat IMO.

Just read a few post about counting, not picking a fight but i could care less if he can count. As long as he can read plays, cover, and takle i think he'll be fine.
