'10 TN OL James Stone

TheDooley has stated before that he is in close contact with people in the AD, so I would bet the source is someone on the staff or very close to it. Great news, if true!

In a bit of a double whammy, it now looks like Shon Coleman may very well stick with Auburn. Clearly depth at 'Bama is a major concern, so it's very possible. Moreover, after an in-home visit with some of our assistants, it seems that we do have a better chance than expected with James Stone, so perhaps this means that we may end up with Stone.

:hi:
Actually, contrary to what many Bama haters like to think, he is. You now have two coaches at UT, Dooley and Thompson, that would tell you exactly that, if you had the opportunity to talk to them about it.

Be glad UT now has Derek Dooley -- a very bright, well mentored, disciplined, hard working and promising young HC with good character and integrity. Lil Lane would've set UT's program back badly if he'd stayed another year or two before getting fired.

Saban only lied when his lips were moving - Columnist - ESPN.

You're right, don't know what I was thinking

The article criticizes all coaches and this is the same media and reporter that constantly bashed UT during CLK stint that so many UT hated. So to pull that out might be a little hypocritcal on your part.

really? seems like he could find a way on the field. he started a few games last year over A-DOUG till he got hurt.

he would not have started had Douglas been ready game one. he wasn't hurt that bad and was bounced down to fill in for Vlade when Vlade got hurt but then Cory Sullins beat them both out for guard. He isn't SEC level but he might end up being a kid that has to play by default of having 3 starts experience..

Dear Stone,

Please read below about your new offensive line coach!

During his Illinois days, Hiestand coached 12 All-Big Ten Conference selections on the offensive line. Every starting offensive lineman in Hiestand's first seven years with the Illini signed an NFL contract. He served as Ron Turner's assistant head coach from 2000-04.

Farrell on Rivals, during a chat, said he thinks Stones to ua. I think it is very close right now. I really hope we land this kid. He will be a stud at UT!

I seen that. Wasnt he talking about a different STONE though? And I thought it was to a different school?

This also tells us that he is converting many 3 stars into NFL prospects. Don't think the Illini recruited a bunch of 4 and 5-star OL while he was there.

I think the timing of the Heisland announcement was more for Stone than anyone else.

Stone is important to this class.

I don't understand people saying alabama is even with us. Even his coach the alabama homer said after stone's meeting with CDD that he favors Tennessee now. Nothing has come out to make me think otherwise since then. Did I miss something?
