I'm just saying, that's 6 not 5 therefore it's a top 6 not a top 5. It's not a big deal it just seemed kind of silly to me.

With the tied for 5th comment, I'm guessing we're in third place. We need to lock these kids up.

I know Kiffin went to OC's school during his first Memphis trip and I believe he spoke to his h.s. coach, but I am surprised an offer isn't out there.

The best theory I've heard is that we should expect an early commitment to Tennessee if he's offered, and the staff wants to be 100% certain OC's their guy before tendering an offer.

If you believe that, then the staff is going through final preparations before trying to secure a firm commitment that neither party will second-guess.

I would love it if this was anything more than wishful thinking, but, sadly, I will have to say it is. I would put this kid as a HEAVY ole miss lean.

Ha! He's so fast in his video that he out runs his RB most of the time. Get this kid some target practice

I hope we sign this kid! Matter of fact I hope we sign a bunch of OL's and DT's next year. I'm sure the Vols are working on it!

I thought this was exactly the type of guy that Kiff and Company were going to go after. Doesnt he like Fast and athletic linemen as opposed to fat and slow ones?

And yeah... after Lance Thompson (our former "Recruiter of the Year" from last season) ran his mouth and so did Lame Kiffin... I think it's hysterical that Saban is going to rob them blind of their talent. So will LSU.

So with all the recruiting gurus at Tenn they cant keep one of their top players from leaving the state. Thats pathetic.

2010 Memphis Lineman recruit. Very quick. 6'3" 315 lbs. His first two favorite schools he mentioned were LSU and Alabama. Kiffin is really locking down TN.

Let Kiffin recruit hard for a few years. Once kids realize that he can't coach and is a liar, they will stop committing there.

It is sad how Bama is gonna rob us of Memphis talent this year.

I see them pulling at least 3 kids out of there.

Memphis is a hot bed of talent and will be for many years to come. With that being said, no team will ever seal up Memphis. The goal is to get the majority and get the guys you want. You can't land them all, but you should be able to select.

And yes, it will take time. Memphis is a long way from UT and is not the first thought for many of the top players there.

O.C wanted to come to Jr. Day but he's the first BIG man off the bench for Manassas and they have a playoff BBall game today. They have a legit chance @ winning a state championship. Reginald Buckner 6'8 (Ole Miss Signee) is the real deal.

Couple of notes:
O.C. measured 6'2 317 (w/clothes w/out shoes) at AL Jr. Day. (not 6'3 as stated in Rivals)

James Stone measured 6'3 even 310 (w/clothes w/out shoes) at AL Jr. Day (not 6'5 as stated in Rivals)

O.C. and Reggie Buckner have the same size hands. He's 16 and nobody 6'2 has hands that big. He's still growing. Wouldn't be shocked if he winds up 6'4.

I have a feeling that this thread is gonna become a novel over the next year. I hope we have a legit shot at him.

Only offer to date is Southern Miss. I'd call him a Golden Eagle lean if anything. First SEC school to offer will be the team to beat.

He could be a Vol, and from what I saw at the Army AA combine he is overflowing with talent and athleticism. CLK....offer.....NOW!

O.C. Brown Rivals #214, 4 Stars.

TN had 6 in Rivals 250. 4 of the 6 are from Memphis.

"A lot of schools have been wanting me to come to their spring games or camps," he said. "I haven't really decided which ones to go to but I'll make my decision soon."

"I would like to get an offer from LSU, Tennessee, Alabama and Ole Miss," he said. "Those are the schools that really stand out to me."

Rivals

I really hope he gets an offer from us.

One of my friends for here in winchester is a 6'5'' 315 lb lineman. tennessee told him that they are only going after guys in the 285 lb range. they want to make the boys strong and fast. so i am guessing they want to see if OC will lose some weight.

O.C. looks like he moves alot better than most 285lb lineman. He is purty dang quick...
