Lv, way off topic for the corey nelson thread but I would love to hear what is being said about bball recruiting. I want to know if he thinks we finish out with pinkston and harris.

Corey Nelson has been wavering on Texas A&M for a month or so now...

he's got Tennessee and Stanford as a top 3 along with Texas A&M, also he was supposed to visit for the Vandy game but he'll visit in Jan.

5* on Scout / 4* Rivals and fills an immediate need if we don't pull Jones.

"Then I had shot him a text saying I was in class and I couldn't talk and he was just wanting to see if he can come down first so he can visit with us on Friday and talk to us about the official visit, because he already knows I plan on taking it."

He is setting up an official. I love his HL tape. He is in BEAST mode when he plays against spread offenses. Very quick to fill the gaps and get to the outside, great tackling.

Can anyone imagine how great a class we would have if we landed Luc, Nelson, Jones, Irvin, and Taylor? Wow what a great group of linebackers! Anyone think's it's remotely possible?

I have no sources or anything but if I had to choice on what I've read and gathered by others this is how i'd break it all down.

The percentages below will be the percent I think they may commit:

Taylor is 100% Vol
Luc is 95% IMO
Jones 60%
Irvin 20% (really depends if he visits and gets blown away he really doesnt want to take the extra class)
Nelson 50% (don't know too much about him but know he is keeping interest in the Vols)

If we did end up with Luc Taylor and Jones I think the chance of us signing Nelson would be slim because I don't know if he would want to play here.

If somehow we did end up with Luc Taylor Jones and Nelson I say we have 0% chance of adding Irvin too.

Again I have no sources that is all JMO. What yall think?

JMO but I think our most likely get outside of Luc, Jones, and Taylor will be Nelson. Just from reading about him I think he could very well be ours.

Thanks guys. I don't think we get Irvin, but still, it could be a very good class with Taylor, Luc (hopefully), and possibly Jones or Nelson. The Linebacker position is crucial in the Tampa 2 scheme right? This could be the makings of some very good defenses in the future.

Got to be the brains of the D...it will be tough to get him out of Texas but here is hoping we do! :beerf:

Nelson's folks are really strapped financially and would like to be able to see him stay in Texas.
I hope the coaches can convince him and his family that Knoxville is the place for him . Dude is a Ball player tho. I especially Love his hustle on special teams in his Vids.
