i feel ya, but keep your head up the staff will give us something to be excited about soon enough. However, if we miss on jones and nelson sticks with A&M and luc is fsu bound and owens stays commited who are we going for lb then?

I'm not gonna say jack ****. I try to be a realist and "the sky is not falling" types, but damn, this has really been a terrible day.

I feel ya

On a semi-positive note:
It should be expected that we lose on more than we get from out of state (not much of a consolation). I guess thats why the coaching staff recruits sooo many kids. It's hard to pull kids from their home state's and childhood favorites. I just think at TN we are always going to have to recruit high quantity of kids at each postion so we can fill our needs. I think this staff is doing a good job of that. Everytime we lose a prospect another one emerges just about as good. The way this staff recruits I think we will get our share. IMAGINE when the staff gets it completely turned around!!!! With the emphasis they put on recruiting we should be dominant . :dance2:

Added Sunday: The Aggies also have an in-home on Sunday night with linebacker commit Corey Nelson. Though Nelson has been talking about taking other official visits, he is sticking to what he said when he committed...he just wants to take some trips. He has initiated phone calls to the A&M staff every single day this week. That's definitely a good sign for the Aggies.

Georgia putting it to A&M could be beneficial for us....

I understand that A&M is close to home but my goodness. If you are a top player with the option of playing for Monte or one of the worst Big 12 teams (in defense as well which is hard to do), it seems pretty obvious. Come on Nelson!!!

Just like Luc, Scroggins, etc Parents play a big part in where these recruits end up. He can come be part of something great or wallow in mediocracy @ A&M.

That is true but at least FSU and USC are good programs with a chance at playing in NC or at least BCS games. A&M is behind Texas, Oklahoma, Ok State, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Missouri, Kansas and maybe Kansas State now. They don't have a prayer to ever be relevant.

Texas A&M definitely has a prayer to be relevant in the future and I think they will be one of the top 4 teams in the Big 12 next year. Watch them overtake Texas Tech, Missouri and both Kansas schools within the next two years due to recruiting. They have a very good senior QB next year who really put it to the Texas defense and a 5 star Soph. running back named Christian Michael who looked great against the Texas defense.

Also, they are a top 20 program all time and have a top 20 winning percentage. I'm not a Texas A&M fan by any means but I respect their program and their fans and they are rebuilding just like our football program.

Not only that, but they have a terrific walk-on, "Smash" Williams who tore up the field for Dillon, TX, but lost his scholarships due to potential character issues.
