10 year show cause/NCAA, Tyndall discussion (merged)

Barnes doesn't recruit these prospects because you can't win consistently in the SEC with SoCon level prospects no matter how much experience they have.
Barnes doesn't recruit, period. I think he relied on the Texas brand at Texas and couldn't win with those recruits. That's why he was fired.
You darn sure can't win in the SEC recruiting all freshmen. None of last year's Barnes recruits (remember he was hired two weeks before NSD, Tyndall after) made much of a contribution to the team. This year 50 points of the scoring is gone and replaced by mostly freshman. Tell me how that is a formula for success. It's a formula for a 10 win season.

As far as mid majors are concerned, some would be conference champions in a Power 5 conference.

Barnes inherited a dumpster fire. Cuonzo did not **** it up nearly as badly as CDT did.

Saw a guy last night in the Big lebowski sitting behind Walter that looked just like him. I even mentioned it at the time.

Who said anything about all mid-majors? We were talking about the SoCon and neither UTC nor ETSU would have been remotely close to an upper division SEC team last year nor is that likely this year either.

If you look at 247, you'll find that the 9 players CRB has signed so far are rated a tad higher than the 8 CDT actually signed. Don't tell me about the great class that CDT was gonna have, because that didn't happen. Something about chickens and hatching. As I've said before, I want to see where we are in a couple of years before I do any coach bashing.

Getting so many eligible in a very short time frame really throws up a red flag on Tyndall. I'm convinced that had Tyndall been the UT coach for a couple of years, TN would have ended up with it's worst NCAA probation ever.

Once again, you can't resist the urge to discuss one coach without making mention of the other, absolutely unprovoked no less.

The one stole the other's job. That's a fact, Jack. If Barnes wasn't fired by Texas, Tyndall would still be our coach. As Tyndall just said everything the NCAA told Hart was false. If he had not rushed to get that out info this all would have never happened.

So blame Texas, not Barnes. They're the ones that fired him.

And he didn't "steal" anything. He was offered the job, he accepted. End of story.

And your pet names you give people make you sound like a 13 year old girl.

And your boy violated his contract at UT which said that if he was involved in NCAA infractions (notice it never said how much involvement, and the Boy Wonder admitted to wrong doings), it could be grounds for termination. He was involved, he was fired. Blame him for that, too.

Maybe you should listen to your BOY.

"While Tyndall admitted to some wrong-doing,"

Get this through your thick skull. He admitted to being responsible because he was the head coach. He admitted to nothing regarding academic fraud and the NCAA found nothing connecting him to academic fraud in their entire investigation. That is not a fireable offense.
