Rumors are he might commit to the Barn during Big Cat Weekend. Which is next weekend. If he does not commit than UT still has a chance but word is that him, J Rose, and K Frasier are all looking to pull the trigger to get the excitement going that weekend.

That would be another example showing its very hard to get elite talent out of the state of Alabama. I hope that is not the case

Wouldn't be surprised. All three have been pretty much committed for a while now.

"It went good. It went real good. I got to hang out with the players, the recruits. I had a great time. I was high on Auburn before the visit and even higher on them now. I think I'm going to commit sometime in July, maybe towards the end of the month."

I know Saban likes to run the boyz off but damn how many schollies does he have to give?!? They have 13 commits so far and signed 29 last yr............ I need Saban to do my taxes!!! lol

I have heard from various people that Saban finds athletes other scholarships in different areas of the university to players that he does not think will contribute to the program. That way he can continually sign larger than normal classes.

Wow. That was banned in the 1970s.

Alabama will sign 22-24 in the 2011 class. While we "signed" 29 in the 2010 class, three of those were greyshirts from the 2009 class. One of those (Darius McKeller) had to give up football because of continued wrist problems from multiple surgeries.

Dude seriously.........You are talking about the same guy that runs into recruits in Walmart by pure coincidence. He is very good at what he does no doubt....My sources have been from UA fans in the state of Alabama. So if he thinks they would be better off at track or what not you dont think that can be arranged......wake up....

pretty sure you have to be on scholarship for the bigger of the 2 sports to avoid exactly what you are describing.

Kids end up leaving for various reasons, but I assure you they're not being put on scholarship in some other sport to make room. Jesus. There are NCAA rules against that because that's one of the oldest tricks in the book. It was banned nearly 40 years ago.

He has legit interest in us but we're looking good for Walls and Martin so we might not have room for him.

I think CDD will make room for him, especially if the others come onboard. He recruits just like Saban. Load up the defense first when rebuilding the program and the offensive line. It is easy to find offensive weapons that are not 5 stars. McElroy and Ingram were not heavily recruited out of HS and we are doing just fine them right now. But our return is due to the stockpile of talent on the D and O Line. I think CDD will do the same thing at UT. Get the team to compete first and than win games.

Yeah I was having a conversation about some of the top backs in the SEC and if they were 4* or 5* with a buddy, I can't quite remember but I think Ingram was like a mid 4* is that right?

When CNS offered he was a 3 star and he was also rank 58th in his position at RB. I wonder how the other 57 RBs in front of him are doing now.;)

HaHa! That is funny. I think I would take Nick Saban's assessment over Rivals. But that's just me.
