Ameer finished with 2 int, 2 more pbu's, and 7 tkls. Remember he was the best rb in the Al, Miss asg. Kid is a stud and Tenn might pick up the super sleeper of the class! If...USC,Barn, dont offer. USC is 50/50 and Barn is unlikely.

Might depend on Moore, Lanier, and Loften...

If we get Loften and Moore I am not sure we would take Ameer

He wants to be a RB and would commit if his offer was just that. But his offer is for DB so he is still looking

Old news but I just noticed that rivals has Abdullah as the number five best running back in space. I know this staff is supposed to be looking for a speedy running back and I just thought this was interesting.

Yahoo Sports: Rivals.com Ranking - RB Rankings 2011: Best in space

Seems like Jarvis Giles held that title a few yrs ago. I don't put much stock into the individual rankings (best in space, best between tackles, best burst, yada yada). Are they RB or APB? And if so, where do they stand with others and what does their film look like? That's just me.

I think we should take him as a DB but I'm not sold on him as a RB. JMO

and he would be a take IF he realized DB is where he is going to play in college....Tennessee would love to have him as a DB.....
he is not going to play on offense or be a return guy at Tennessee.....

He can be a return man at the next level.

Sure he can...but not at Tennessee....the kid can play he is big time....however as his recruitment has indicated with Tennessee, they are not looking for him to make plays with the ball in his hand offensively or on special teams....

Tennessee's return man will come from the one of the kids they have already penciled in to play on the offensive side of the ball.......that is a given at this point......they are recruting DBs strictly to play DB...not be a factor in return game....

Never say never. Anthony Anderson's name comes to mind.
