All I know is that Jabriel has not had much contact if any with the Tennessee coaching staff. Trust me, I ask him what's up with UT every day. And recruiting is almost always impossible to predict, but based on the kind of guy he is I think that he'll be keeping his commitment to Bama. It saddens me considering the valiant effort I put into it lol. The funny thing is, I went with him last year to the Bama vs. Tennessee game and he didn't act like he loved it at all.

Jabriel isn't the only West Tn. player that Kiffin's staff was on that Dooley is not talking to.

Some also need to remember that Saban has been on this for over a year and CDD has had 2 months to recruit. No offense but alot of SEC coaches have recruiting these players for some time. I think UT will get it share of players but I also think some are going to wait and see what UT does on the field.

In regards to JW's ability I do believe it is there, just look at all who offered him, but he is also someone that will take atleast 2 years to develop. UT needs players that if not their 1st year atleast their 2nd year they are contributing. UA is building depth UT needs to rebuild with impact players first just like we did the 1st 2 years under Saban.

I understand the fact he is from TN, but also like LV said they are bigger fish out there that play the same position that has high interest in UT. Also there are some big time recruits still in TN that I think will be at UT in the end. Players that we would like to have at UA.

recruiting really isint all about dooley, its terry joeseph. i mean the buck stops with dooley but terry joeseph aint hitting the pavement real hard. he is getting his butt outworked and we lost out on several people who basicly only wanted a dang phone call and a bid of confidence. so far terry aint cutting it

Uh oh. I wouldn't put it all on TJ. It is only April, there's a lot of things this staff needs to take care of

they come back out of the woodwork for the second round...

LV just posted 4 new guys that have recieved offers very recently...Hayes is the 14th ranked rb on scout who is very high on UT...most i bet have never heard of him...but your right everyone is taking naps over at the football complex...

countless other very big name recruits trimmed their list and UT made it...you just can't win with some fans...I can't believe i'm saying this...but I would rather read tidewarriors posts than some of my fellow vol fans...

I do not know about being converted, but I said last year that I hope and I do believe that UT gets back to the top. Do not take me wrong I want UA to be the one of the best every year but I want UT there so when we play on the 3rd Sat. in October it is the best game of the season in the country.

BTW we had the same type of fans a few years back right before Saban got there and his first year of recruiting. They really starting getting bad on the boards when his 1st season went 7-6. We do not hear from those now or they have changed their tune. I guess those fans seem to forget we were only 7-6 three seasons ago.

It didn't hurt that Saban had already won a NC, and signed 32 recruits and ended up with the #1 recruiting class in 2008... Man, I really really hope we have Saban Jr. in Dooley

UT will have to wait and see but I do believe that CDD evaluates talent the same as Saban. He will recruit players that will fit the needs and find those diamond in the rough type players Saban does. When looking for talent they look for the same thing. The real question is not him finding the talent it wil be can he reel them in.

I already see alot players with UT in their final group or them talking about UT and wanting to visit.

There is only one Saban. It’s obvious Dooley didn’t have a large impact on his success, since Saban has done just as well, if not better without him.

Wish we would have recruited him. I think this staff recruits and makes contact based on the recruits last name. So Washington wouldn't have heard from UT until they got to the W's.

IMO you'd have to be pretty bad to be in the state of Tennessee and not hear from UT. Not saying they have to offer everybody, but for at least establishing/maintaining/building the relationship with the school/coach, make a couple phones calls or something. Just an idea. Also, I thought Dooley was a disciple of Saban, if this kid is good enough for him (and most every other school in the SEC) why isn't he good enough for UT??

Exactly, I dont buy this whole "he wasent good enough" that just an excuse made by hurt TN fans. If hes good enough for the NC then im pretty sure hes good enough for us. That being said if he didnt want to go here than good for him, im not hurt over it.
