'11 ATH Jabriel Washington

"I want to get it done before the summer. I am going to LSU on March 20 and Tennessee sometime after that," said Washington. "I was supposed to go to Tennessee this weekend but I have a basketball game. After I visit those two schools I will be ready to make a decision."

sure sounds like we are an after thought

Saban does a very good job of recruiting Tennessee and getting some of our in-state guys. Correct, me if I'm wrong, seems Saban has some strong ties in Memphis and Nashville. It's an uphill climb with this kid, but maybe this staff can close that gap. Is he going to be here for JR day?

the Malone and Washingto situations are not even close to being the same. Kiffin never offered and never wanted Malone.

Washington has been a top priority for both Kiffin and Dooley. if he choses to leave TN, it is not because he hasn't been heavily pursued.

We want Ballatine too. The good thing for UT though this year is that they might get some of the top talent in AL. CDD seems to be doing a lot of recruiting in the state. Especially considering how small our class will be alot of AL players will go elsewhere and UT seems to be a great fit for them.

How many is Bama gonna sign?

Little early to see. We are gonna have a few leaving early next year for the NFL, so I see us signing close to a full class. Some believe it will be a smaller class, about 18-20, but I honestly think we will be closer to a full class of 25 or so.

How many is Bama gonna sign?

It should be around 18-20. Even with players that might go pro that is where we will end up. The 2012 class in the state of UA is suppose to be one of the deepest in the state in along time so unless we just have so many 5 stars prospects wanting to come in 2011 I doubt we take more then 20. Also a poster on our boards seems to be either working at the school or in with the staff. What he usually says about numbers are correct. Add that with the size of our last 3 classes we would have to have like 20 leave early for the NFL.

You can pull players left and right when your winning ball games. Bama looks like we did in the late 90's something we have not seen in a decade. It will take time and some 9-3 or better seasons to fully get a hold on recruiting like Bama.

Is he a Javier Arenas type?

No hes a Jabriel Washington type.

There are not and will not be many Arenas "types".

We have someone who could be similar to Arenas in Marcques Dixon. I think he will be a stud in a couple years.

jeeze you guys act like he committed. all he did was name a top two and if you have been paying attention to his recruitment those have been his top two all along. theres a long way to go so stop freakin out.

We have a decent shot at JW with Dooley as coach. I don't think his family was to fond of X. This will be a battle to the end. He will make a good DB.

Chances are he ends up at Bama. He raves about them everytime he comes home from a visit. Lsu is 2nd, and he said the main thing bama has over them is that they are closer to home. I found this interesting but he said that Tennessee has barely even called him since Dooley took over, and Dooley himself hasn't called yet.
