Isn't this a secondary violation? Posing in a jersey and what not?

Newberry=clown...UT shouldn't waste their efforts on this kid....wants to play DE when everyone projects him as an OL....theme of FSU recruiting....hell, I'm a lefty and they told me I could play my dream position of 3rd base when I was being recruited for baseball!!! LMAO j/k

Yeah, it would be smart to pass up on this guy with the shape UT is in now.

I think the jersey still says RICHARD on the back. They had to shrink it since Vladamir wore it.

I like what I am seeing with recruiting.
I love the fact all of Newberry, Richardson, and
Clear are big boys who have the ability to play different positions. We might be done with OL recruiting when you
think this way. That would open up another spot for an extra DB or WR.

I think Newberry has more interest in the Vols than some here believe.

When he and Tuitt visited a few weeks ago, Tuitt went home and Newberry stayed a couple more days -- through Saturday, if I remember correctly. I did not see this mentioned much in the media and Newberry pretty much shut down interviews for a while after that, but over a 3 day span he surely got some good face time with Dooley and Coach C Smith, along with a number of other coaches and players.

Just the fact that he stayed that long indicates he had some serious interest. It is hard for me to believe that a long visit like that did not move us well up his list, with a good chance that we are now at or near the top.

JMO, though.

When I say don't waste your time is because this kid is a silent to FSU..he's playing the game and if you put too much time into players like this you'll miss on others that have real interest in your program...other than a free trip. With some of these florida kids its FSU or nothing and this kid falls under that category.

Well that's a buzzkill.

What is your indication that he is all FSU?

Newberry skipped out on a trip to Nike camp in Gainesville than cancelled trip to FNL to visit Tallahassee and didnt stop thru on the way back from T-Town.

Not really sure how Gio faults the Gators for not keeping the lines of communication open when he gave them the appearance that they were wasting their time

FSU is def. in the lead

If the kid wants early playing time, without actually earning early playing time, then UF isn't the place for him. We've recruited okay on the d-line recently.

And if that kid weighs 290, then I weigh 590.

I'm really sorry to hear this.....is it difficult to walk far enough to eat? Ha ha j/k

Sometimes its ok to be #2. in this case FSU is killin it and their class may fill up. I.E., if he doesn't commit quick, he will miss out on his #1. Happens to many kids every year.

Despite saying his commitment is firm, as do all initial commits, he said that he will still take his visits and Tennessee is definately one of them FWIW
