'11 FL DE James Wilder Jr.

i would love for him to go to fsu

fsu needs to start being fsu again...to have those classic games

miamicane...I feel you on that one.

Dudley...miami and fsu have a lot more respect for one another in their rivalry than either of those two have with UF. I hope miami wins every game this year except any against FSU :)

yea bobby bowden said that miami and fsu are like brothers..they will fight each other but respect each other

while florida is the stepbrother haha

I know just giving the man a little hell...

FSU and Miami need to return to the good ol days so I dont have to hear Florida is the king of Florida anymore..

FSU and The U returning to their old form is nothing but great for UT. It will keep UF from raking in recruiting classes like last years that are just absolutely sick.

Yeah, I agree. I must admit that I had thought that them being down would be good for UT recruiting, but we cannot afford it, because of how good it makes UF.

on the same day as Nick Waisome. Coincidence?

I have always said UF and still am for Wilder. It also looks like not only that Wilder and Waisome might decide on the 18th but that Anthony Chickillo might be also.

It looks like either UF or FSU might have a very good day on the 18th, because I think all 3 are looking hard at both schools.

Waisome is a Gator but the other two seem like LONG shots at this point. ChiIckillo made two trips to Gainesville last week so we'll see, Meyer has always taken some UM and ND leans. IMO JWJ is looking for a reason not to commit to UF and the running back thing is just a way out. He knows that he'll need to switch sides to make it into the NFL.

Yep. Sounding more and more like Wilder is going to choose FSU. Hard to win out when you're fighting against family.

We'll probably know for sure by whether Wilder shows up for UF's live scrimmage this weekend.

I think UF gets Waisome, FSU gets Wilder, and the U gets Chick. Spreading the love in FL.

That's going to continue to happen. UF's class was from all over the US. California, Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Connecticut and Florida. UF will not get all of the players it recruits but they will continue to pull talent from all over the US.

It's not like FSU and Miami haven't been recruiting well. It's just that UF has the pull to get top flight talent whether FSU or Miami does or doesn't.

Wilder going to FSU opens UF up to get Blakely and possibly steal Bellamy from Clemson. That said I hope Wilder chooses UF.

As far as the FSU-Miami thing goes, Jimbo Fisher absolutely destroyed Shannon in recruiting this past season, and Urban Meyer plucked 8 or 9 guys between Palm Beach and Dade.

If this trend continues Miami will be looking up and FSU and UF for a very long time.

Yea, that has been the complaint about Shannon from the 561/305/786 residents.

He passed on & missed out on quite a few kids last yr.

Dont know why either, Shannon has Huge pull & cnnections in South Florida

*edit*
If Blakely choses UF, and Bellamy switches to UF, Bellamy would be in the same situation as there is at Clemson with a crowded backfield of Good Young RBs

In the end I think Bellamy chooses UF and Blakely chooses Auburn. esp since both RBs styles mesh each of those schools

I'm not 100% you will see Blakely go to Auburn if Dee Hart chooses to go there. Not to mention they got Dyer last year and Aycock the year before. Another crowded stable of RBs. Now if Hart ends up at UM then maybe, but I doubt Hart goes to Michigan with the possibility that RichRod is done after this season.

Aycock got dismissed from the team.

Blakely would got to Auburn as a Legit RB, Dee Would go as All purpose guy, anyways, Dee is going to Michigan and so far Bama is a distant 2nd.

I think that would sure help Tennessee since UF wouldn't be stock piling all the talent in Florida. JMO

Michael L spoke to Wilder today at Plant,

JW says he will may make another trip to UF and then one to FSU
&
Wilder feels the strongest bond with the Florida State coaches.

UF pulls them out of other states... Like they have been for the past few years. Harvin, Spikes, Floyd, Powell, Shaw, Haden (all of them), Mack Brown, Easley, Dunlap, Will Hill, etc, etc.

UPDATE: At the press conference for teammates QB Phillip Ely and OT Tony Posada, James Wilder told Justin Wells of 247Sports.com that he is down to three: Florida, Alabama and Georgia. Barring a miracle, the Gators still look like his favorite.
