'11 FL DE James Wilder Jr.

can we make a "florida" thread where the cane fan, nole fans, and the gators can discuss all their awesome instate talent, and how easy it is to recruit down there? that way we dont have to read it and feel anger towards them?

I think over the next 3 years FSU will start to regain ground in Florida and give CUM a run for his money in the recruiting arena. Jimbo Fisher is putting together a good staff and bringing that program back to life.

yeah i hope so a strong florida state is great for tennessee. i wish miami would fire shannon and get a decent recruiter in there and make it be even worse for CUM. hell i could recruit kids to miami beach....shannan needs to go...

Well Pasada, Ely & Wilder will all decide at Plant presser on Aug 11th. stay tuned

Ely to FSU? Jimbo said he was only taking the one QB and his only other target has been Brissette.

Originally he was recruited by Florida as a linebacker. He wnt to FSU and Fisher told him he was going to use larger backs and he would come in and BE a running back. BTW Wilder was on an extended stay in FSU and did not make Friday Night Lights at UF with his team mates and coach.
Book it Wilder is going to FSU.

Yea I know, but even with saying he only wants one QB in his classes, they are still recruiting Brissette.

but no they arent in on Ely

Apparantly now that has changed and Wilder will hold off on announcing. Until I hear him commit I still believe he is all Gator, but just wanting attention and playing the game.

Ely, Posada looking at Aug. 11 for decision; Wilder Jr. not as sure

The when-will-they-commit saga of Plant's hot recruiting trinity -- quarterback Phillip Ely, offensive lineman Tony Posada and running back/linebacker James Wilder Jr. -- could be coming to an end with tenative plans to hold an Aug. 11 press conference at Plant.

But most likely, it will be just Ely and Posada, according to Plant coach Bob Weiner.

"James is just not as ready,'' Weiner said.

The Plant coach is still debating dates for the Ely/Posada announcement, but said it's "likely" to be in the late afternoon on Aug. 11, though Aug. 10 remains a possibility.

Wilder (No. 1), Ely (8) and Posada (11) are all ranked in the Times Fab 50 list of the area's top recruits. So far, five of the top 10 have verbally commitments.

Posada is thought to be deciding between Michigan and USF, while Ely has a short list of five schools. Wilder is still deciding between his impressive list, though Florida State, Florida and Georgia appear to be the frontrunners.

I don't think it will even be over when he commits somewhere, I'll believe he isn't a gator when the ink dries on his LOI.

I'm sure a lot of people here care. Don't know about you, but I definitely don't want him going to an SEC opponent.

cause going to bama would be so much better than florida? please go to fsu...
