My question is, has anyone on staff been to see Wilder? Or been in the area? I know Hinshaw saw Bellamy. Jay he's in your neck of the woods, you heard anything?

If Wilder wants to come here, there's no way on God's green earth that the staff would tell him to take a hike. But he needs to realize that he's better at linebacker, not running back. I still don't think the staff should waste their time with him, but if he commits, he commits, and he'll just have to take the hands he's dealt for the next three or four years.

Hey, you're preachin' to the choir. I agree. Most people get wrapped up in how he is developed physically. He might win a bodybuilding contest. I think that he could be a hybrid player or DE. THAT is where I see possibilities. Too stiff and mechanical in his movements for RB or LB. JMO.

If he can't handle the HS backs in Florida what will he do when Niles Davis from Arky is crashing through the line at him?

Wilder plays a little stiff and there is always a potential for a bust. But he is not only a take but a guy you make room for by dropping someone else if necessary. Not just for us but for ANY school in the country. To think otherwise is foolish.

Wilder runs soft to be that size. I watched a game on espn where a little 150-160lb safety came up and destroyed him with a hit in the stomach. Which means he didn't lower his pads at all. He looks great in Under Armour though.

He has talent I don't think he has the heart when the competition is tough. Some guys rise to the challenge. Don't think he will.
