I am not making the comparison at all but last year lots of people said that Lattimore was overrated and that turned out to be wrong. So you just don't know until they suit up on saturdays. Wilder could be great.
Wilder runs soft to be that size. I watched a game on espn where a little 150-160lb safety came up and destroyed him with a hit in the stomach. Which means he didn't lower his pads at all. He looks great in Under Armour though.

I will say this with Lattimore, he was a punisher in high school who I didn't expect to punish the SEC like this in his first year. Wilder doesn't run anywhere as hard as Lattimore though. Nor does he play as violent as Lattimore. He's just not that type of player.

I think you're completely wrong about Wilder, and it seems to me you haven't watched much of him. Soft, heartless and not worth a scholarship...just, wow.
I watched him closely in two games and if he wasn't such a big HS player I wouldn't have known who he was. Also looked at him in the 7 on 7 camps and wasn't impressed. I am very un-biased to Florida HS talent and he hasn't shown me that much for a guy with all these accolades.

The way you talk about his play is completely off-base. The guy goes HARD(no homo), and isn't known for taking plays off or not staying focused like some recruits. He's an incredible athlete with huge upside that works hard and looks tough as nails. You make it sound like he's some overhyped cream puff that shy's away from contact.

Sorry for the overkill, but wow. I have 4 minutes of evidence that disagrees. This guy destroys people....
