'11 FL LB Gionni Paul

Not questioning Jay but someone on UF side seems to think differently. Maybe because AC will play baseball his first year, but from all the talk on the baseball forum the kid is going to play baseball at UF if he isn't drafted high. *sorry for reply covering AC in Paul's thread*

Jay is correct.

For all practical purposes, you cannot compete in football without using a football scholarship. You have to count the scholarship against whatever is the highest revenue producing sport you play, and for 99% of multi-sport football players, that would be football.

True I forgot about Askew.... Is he an OLB I just thought I remember hearing he was around 240 and in the middle at one point but I could be wrong.... And alot of people have said he just can't get a grasp on the playbook....

Askew is in the middle, all right -- in the middle of the bench and he has shown no desire to do anything else. Sad, really, because he has the ability to contribute.

I broke up with my girlfriend of two and half years that morning and she was in the same session taking the ACT.

I wanted to get the heck out of there so I Christmas Tree'd the entire scan sheet in 10 minutes and left.

Got an 18! True story. :hi:

That's what John Calipari told D. Rose to do. He then decided that it was too riskyl, and he paid someone to take the test for him. He is now setting pretty at Kentucky, and Bruce Pearl is hated by every basketball comentator at ESPN for grilling a couple of hamburgers for some kids. Oh, and Cam Newton had no idea that his dad came across a few extra bucks.

Yeah. That seems about right

Starting to feel good about Mr. Paul.

Give me
Paul, Dawson, Clear, Richardson, Lanier, Moore, Jackson and Pagan and I will be smitten.

I'm tempted to have this guy at #1 overall on the remaining board. Just a dominating football player at a position of absolute need.

He's definitely up there among the Top 3 must get recruits to close out this class.

Huge news to be getting the whole family on campus, we will also have 5 of our commited players in his ear. I really like Paul as a prospect, great size & speed. Dooley is really trying to get bigger on defense & adding this guy would help. He would be in the 2 deep & get alot of snaps next year IMO.

Linebackers seem the hardest to project. Especially for us. He seems to have speed which our LB core lacks, but I can't get excited over LB's the way Donald and Askew turned out

Im super excited.

Dude is a Ball player. and an extremely explosive kid at that.

Stewart, Turene , Perryman & Lewis are probably the only Fla LBs I'd take over Paul...

He brings it.

You are right. LB does seem to be a hard position to project. I wonder if anyone on here knows what our successful LB's were rated coming out of high school? I believe Mayo was a 4star. What about Kevin Burnett and Kevin Simon? I don't remember but I think they were pretty highly ranked coming out of high school

Yeah, is he a problem for Apopka because Tom Smith can only get 300 yards and 4 touchdowns on his team instead of his normal, or a problem because he's trouble? Explain.
