'11 FL LB Gionni Paul

Even if were on someone better (which right now I dont think we are) you still dont turn Paul away, we need a major talent upgrade at LB & if you can get Paul to go with Johnson, Harris, & 1 of Dawson/CJ Johnson or anyone else then you do it.

Unless there is someone we don't know about and the staff is keeping quiet, which I don't see happening, then I can't see us not taking this kid. No way. I'd like to hear LV's POV on the situation.

Maybe I'm just being negative nancy, but I honestly don't see us landing Dawson or CJ Johnson. I think the whole Dawson thing is on the same level of all of the premature Gabe Wright news and so on so forth. Our fanbase sees that we make the Top 7 for any recruit and he is an automatic lock. The chances of us getting Dawson or Wright are stretches. Could it happen? Of course, but it is just not probable. We need a serious less in possible vs. probable among our fanbase as a whole.

You guys are overreacting again. Hubbs is saying this so Paul can get his chance at publicity. Let him have his announcement and you can bet a Tennessee hat is on his head.

I don't agree with the bolded print, for we're in the top 5-7 for Ray Drew and Jay Rome, and I don't think anyone expects us to get them or even really be considered.

Other than that though, I agree with you 100%. I think Dawson and Wright are stretches at this point.

do we have any solid LB's coming back next year? the only one i can think of is austin and he seemed to fall off some in the late stretch

USF coach visited with Paul today

i really hope this doesnt influence him. i know its close to home but come on, skip holtz? come on paul, come to UT where you will have one of the best LB's coach in america

Not if it leads to the destruction of their football program.

USC is still popular with recruits, Reggie Bush will always be remembered as a Heisman Winner (with or without the hardware) and everyone knows USC were the Champs that year. A few years all will be well out there....look at BAMA, minor setbacks

Off the top of my head we have Greg King, Austin Johnson, Nigel Mitchell-Thorton, Martaze Jackson, Racquies Crump, John Propst. I know I'm missing a few.

It wont, Paul wants out of Florida. It's Tennessee's to lose.

It took Bama more than a few years and a few coaches to get back to where they're at.

Assuming there is proof, which is a stretch, Auburn will probably get something much worse than USC. Then again, it's the NCAA, so who knows? It might work out for the Barn after all haha.
