He's a TE masquerading as a QB IMO. I think by this point we pretty much have our targets in sight. I don't see us doing much outside of that.

Meyer is currently recruiting this guy as a linebacker....well, I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me though.

I don't think we would take a chance on Mettenberger (no need to with Bray and Worley) but he would be a perfect fit for LSU.

I do remember watching Nash Nance's vids last year and thinking that I was watching Tim Tebow. Guess not.

I would be estatic if we get him. Idk our chances tho. yes he has visited, but i would love for Hubbs and them to do a article on him.

Tim Tebow probably would have played LB if he had committed to TN...or warmed the pine. As deficient as I am in good will for Meyer, I'll give him credit for knowing a thing or two about football and doing things his way. Gotta feeling that the man is feeling a little disoriented these days.

JB is reporting that Tennessee has been talking to Mettenberger and there's a possibility of adding him along with Worley.

Anyone looking for a QB instant upgrade a la Cam Newton, this is the closest thing we can get this class.

Could be a bad idea. Especially one like him.

Then again... he is tearing it up just like Newton was around this time last year.

Everything I've heard was that he was LSU bound, I wonder how serious we are.

Maybe because our current QBs have thrown 7 TDs and 7 INTs through the first 7 games this year.

That being said, he isn't coming here.

You know what. Simms is horrid. Bray backed up by Worley? Doesn't really sound that solid. Simms is the reason behind a lot of the sacks for this line from what I can see. Bring Mettenberger in he's a good QB. If he doesn't work at least he's better than Simms.

hell Simms could trasnfer to a FCS school if he gets beat out by Bray next year. We would be down to 3 QBs. 1 sophomore and 2 freshmen.

If Mettenberger gives us a chance to win, I say bring him. I remember him leading the QB competition between him and Murray while he was at UGA.

My point then we'd be bringing in A.J. Suggs(Nash Nance) to call plays. Yeah what I was thinking. I say take a chance on him. Cam Newton had a checkered past but he seems to be doing quite alright.
