I think the coaches have proven by now that they really do have ability at evaluating talent. If they drop Young people should realize that he is just being replaced by someone better. I don't see why you would have a problem with it when you are bringing in a more talented player who can improve our team.

I agree with you to an extent. I do think the coaching staff can evaluate talent. And they see big things in Young. I trust them to make the best decision and if that means giving Young a scholly or cutting him then I will back them either way.
Personally, I want to see Young excel at UT. It is always nice to have a homegrown kid do well - it does great things for a fanbase and I would hate to see him win games for a rival.

Jesus I did'nt mean to start ANOTHER DY argument, all I was trying to do is compare the players speed.
1st, Bellamy is a long shot a long long long shot! Bigelow is more than likely staying on the West Coast & going to Cal. If we take Hayes which is still in question then were done. No way in heck do we have a chance of getting 2 out of those 3 so for the people thinking it's a possibility just stop! The staff is taking 1 more RB & thats it, & they want that to be a speed back.
2nd, DY is going NOWHERE!!! He is a VOL, it's not changing. I understand people have opinions & I'm not bashing your opinion at all but stop with the DY should be asked to look around ect... cause it's NOT happening. The worst scenario would be the staff ask him to greyshirt & Young would probably end up doing that because he wants to be a Vol bad enough & it would help the TEAM win!

I could see one of the Georgia kids being asked to look somewhere else before they ask DY. Everyone can be hell bent on passing on him untill they have a friendly reminder each year in early September when Florida torches UT again with speed.

What's UT's record against Florida the last two decades without tebow?

We have a good shot of getting Hayes and you said in another thread that Bigelow is 50/50 basically between UT and Cal. So we have a realistic chance of possibly landing two of three. Hypothetically in this situation what should our coaching staff do? Not take either Hayes or Bigelow and keep Young? Or take both Hayes and Bigelow, ask Young to gray shirt if he wants? I think it's obvious that the staff should take Hayes and Bigelow if they want to come. I think it's alright for fans to speculate on what our staff would do in certain recruiting situations even if it involves Young.

I am not certain that the odds for getting Bigelow are even 50/50.. I think that the things that have transpired in the past couple of weeks (Arnett's commitment, Multiple decommitments from ND, etc.) have put us in a great position to get Justice Hayes though.. If that does happen I believe that the staff will not consider taking another RB, with the exception of Bellamy possibly.. We have many more holes to fill with the remaining scholarships..
I hope D. Arnett is staying on Hayes and hopefully he will decide to come and be a part of the resurgence on the Hill..
GO VOLS!!!
