So? You can try to spin this anyway you want. Fact is the kid either has the talent or he doesn't. The coaching staff seems willing to risk their jobs on the belief that he does.
But if it will help you sleep...
Justin Blackmon was a 5.6 3* with offers from OSU, Colorado, Mizzou, and Northern Iowa.
Kendall Hunter was a 5.6 3* with offers from OSU, Baylor, TCU, Purdue, KU, and ISU
Roy Helu was a 5.5 3* with offers from Neb, BYU, Cal, and Oregon
Kenjon Barner who looked pretty good vs UT was a 5.6 3* with offers from Ore, ASU, and UTEP
Jeff Maehl who leads Oregon in receiving was a 5.5 3* with offers from no one but Ore
Titus Young was a 5.6 3* with offers from BSU, Nevada, Wazzou, and UW
Randall Cobb was a 5.5 3* with offers from UK and MTSU before Fulmer noticed him late and offered.
The point is these coaches "recruited with their eyes and not their ears" and found guys could play. These guys will help win championships, play at the highest levels of competition, or in Cobb's case garner SEC honors.
I don't know what DY will do. But the coaches apparently believe in him.
My sentiments exactly. Even though we are thin on talent, you would think we could find one guy on the team who could at least keep the ball off the ground. If Young just keeps the ball off the ground he is worth a scholarship.
I would take Hayes if he commits and if Bigelow decides to commit I take it then drop Smith but only if I got both of these guys. DY is out of the question just because he will be our punt returner.
you got to be kidding me. you watched the film on this guy and say drop smith for him? this guy does not show anything special in his highlight except for the ability to get run down. i hope we can find someone better than him.
The reason I suggested dropping Smith is because we all ready haveRajion Neal on the roster and he is a freshman.

this guy is no where close to bigelow. do we really need a slower version of oku? no
To touch on that, to me Bigelow looks like a 5*, JMHO. Dude is the truth, must be the knees. To me, Hayes isn't any more of a RB than Devrin Young. He's not as good, the tape doesn't lie. Yet Hayes is a 4*, must be the size. They both run a spread, both play similar comp.
So my question to all of the recruiting guru's is, Bigelow of hayes? Of course we all know about the injury to Bigelow, but I see Hayes being Oku 2.0. Just my opinion. I feel like we have got to keep Tom Smith he has gave us the respect to keep his commitment and that has to mean something. Thanks.
