Nick Saban has something kind of important to prepare for, but he's reportedly traveling to North Carolina to hopefully get a commitment from a kid who might be his next quarterback.
ESPN affiliate Crimson Confidential reports that Saban and associate coach Sal Sunseri are visiting 2011 QB prospect Christian LeMay. Saban might be hoping that the 6-foot-3, 200-pound pro-style quarterback may replace junior Greg McElroy when he leaves in 2011.
It may be odd that Sunseri is tagging along with Saban, given that he's been rumored to be taking the defensive coordinator job at Florida State. But Sunseri might be the key to luring LeMay to Alabama.
LeMay told Crimson Confidential, "Coach Sunseri is my recruiter, he is a really good guy and is just a really fun guy to talk with. He recruits my area and I've always liked him a lot. I played against Vinnie (Sunseri) my freshman year when I was playing at another school."
According to Scouts, Inc., LeMay is also looking at Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida State. If Sunseri jumps to Florida State before LeMay commits, there might be some interesting drama that follows.
