'11 QB NC Christian LeMay

This is something I was really confident about with the Evil One here. A stud '11 quarterback. I think there's still a lot of quality out there, but once again an unproven staff and an unknown offense is not going to put us really high on a lot of QB's lists.

Teddy Bridgewater def. still likes us ...

what about Rivers? anyone have an idea of where we stand with him?

I can't see Bridgewater playing QB for us...just can't...there were a number of 2011 QB's that were looking at us but that was before the mass exit stage left.

If Chaney's offense lights it up this fall, then UT will look a lot more attractive to these QB's. A lot can change in 12 more months. :crossfingers:

Yes and hopefully Bray will be a star as well. We will have to see.

Top junior Christian LeMay down to 10, will graduate early

2011 quarterback Christian LeMay (Mint Hill, N.C./Butler) is now only considering 10 schools from his long list of suitors, ESPN's Brian Stumpf reports.

Florida, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, Miami-FL, Mississippi State, Florida State, Virginia Tech and North Carolina will battle for the ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect.

Additionally, the 6-foot-2, 187-pound talent hopes to narrow the field down to five by May and three by July and eventually name a "leader" instead of making a verbal commitment. LeMay will enroll at his school of choice January 2011.

Maryland, N.C. State, Oregon, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Illinois, Tennessee and Michigan have also offered.

As a junior, he completed 170 of 248 attempts (68.5-percent) for 3,396 yards, 44 touchdowns and just two interceptions, leading Butler to a 15-0 state title.
Wow, 68.5% with that many yards.
Thats crazy

Only one problem with that theory.

Tyler Ardnt (3-star) is the only Top 25 Rivals QB undecided at this point in the game. A lot of QB's seem to decide on their school much earlier in the recruiting process than other position players. They also don't bounce around commitment-wise very much (coaching changes seem to be the usual reason if they do). This fact + no OL depth next year is not a great equation for "lighting it up" next year and locking up a stud QB.

It is where this staff will prove its determination in recruiting though if they could still manage to get one with the uncertainties.

He's trying to get it down to three schools by July and enroll early. even if the Vols perform surprising well on offense during the season it might be too late for LeMay.

Don't think we have a chance as of now we dont really have pipeline with Butler or any around it Independence is down the street and next year both of those schools lose students to the new Mint Hill school which should be good as well...I think the only player we have gotten from there in years is Deangelo Lloyd but both schools have a at least a handful of D 1 prsopects every year

his father was a former team chaplain or something for the gators also

Hmmm ... Scout is saying we are now in the top 10 and Mississippi isn't. This is from the latest VTO Top 100 camp.

Best footwork of the camp, stands up very well in the pocket, and has an arm that can make all the throws. Threw behind targets early on, but adjusted well and knows how to hit the receiving window very well. Makes excellent reads and checks through his progressions quickly. Very safety with the football in his hands.

Is this a typo?

Narrowed his list to ten schools including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech.

Lemay is not considering us, and yes that is a typo.

Here's from an article when he visited Clemson....

LeMay will choose a school from his top 10 that includes Auburn, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Clemson, Florida, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Miami, Georgia and North Carolina.

LeMay hasn't trimmed down his list enough at this point to be too concerned with it. Several schools are going to drop off and be added.
