Are you saying Randolph because you like him or because he's actually that good?

He's that good...if you can find any film on him from his Sophomore year check it out. He played with a torn labrum his Junior year and that hurt his stock.

His fav player was Eric Berry, and he's talked to Joseph, who claimed that if he comes to Tennessee, he'll be used in an '09 Berry role.

Also, he's facebook friends with Da'Rick, who is the one who passed along his info to the staff, who then called the HS asking for film, which they loved.

Also, he has the potential to be an EE, and is looking at us, LSU, Bama, and a couple others.

That's all I remember.

Sounds good to me, I appreciate it.

To help Martin narrow down his list, he has a few visits in mind for the summer.

“I know I’m going to Tennessee, because my mom loves Tennessee, so I’m going there,” Martin said. “Then I’m probably going to LSU, and Florida.”

nah, his biggest offers atm are Tennessee, LSU, and UCLA.

It makes me lol when I see legit South Carolina talent like Martin who haven't been offered by USCjr.:birgits_giggle:

Yeah I know a few South Carolina fans who are pretty high on the kid and they are shocked that USCjr did not jump on him. Would you say we are in the lead for him at this point?

I would lean that way but don't know for sure. Looks like we are at worst #2 with LSU.

I really like this kid. It seems he's feelin us and add that his mom loves us should put us in pretty good shape. I'd like to land this kid.

Mike Farrell stated this week in his Weekly Whispers that LSU leads for Martin. However, when we get him and his mom on campus, I think we have a great chance of taking the lead. I saw this kid play last fall and he definitely is a baller. They compare him to Berry out here in SC.

I'm not trying to be skeptical at all or anything like that, but why is it that people are always so sure that we can turn players as soon as they get on campus? I go to UT, so I know how beautiful it is, and I know that we have nice facilities, but people always say "as soon as we get him on campus" like there's some secret weapon that makes us the leader automatically. Once again, not being skeptical, just trying to understand what makes an official to UT so amazing.

The facilities and the game day atmosphere.

B/c in all honesty UT's facilities are superior to a lot of other top notch programs, seriously. Add to that that our traditions, game day atmosphere, and stadium are off the charts as well.

I agree that the atmosphere is unrivaled, but I always just assumed I was wearing the orange glasses.

It was enough to make me transfer here so I guess I do know first hand lol

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something else.

Martin hasn’t visited Tennessee yet either. “(Defensive backs) coach Terry Joseph is a good guy,” he said. “We’ve been getting along good. He’s actually gonna be at my school today (May 26).
