'11 TN DB Derek King

Could be true but no such thing as a lock with a 18/19 yr old kid. I don't know much about him but his name has started to move up the gator's board so I'm assuming he's a good player.

The gators are just trying to keep our program down, they know what Dooley trying to do, they know his method is effective.:clapping:

Sounds really good. He would be a big player in Wilcox's D. Also might get a shot at returning.

So you think they will pass on Christion Jones? What happens if Tino wants to commit before King? Do they just tell him their not ready?

they will take King over anybody.

they may have already told Tino that. he was supposed to visit the past 2 weekends and showed up for neither.

it's really hard to tell what they are doing at DB (and DE). we could take anywhere between 6-15 DBs.

When should we know about Loften and Dixon?

Dixon retakes the ACT on October 9th.

Loften claims he is taking an online class and will be ready after that. As for how an online class replaces a bad SAT score, I have no idea, but that's what he said.

maybe if it raises his GPA, then his other SAT score combined with a Higher GPA would make him eligible.

:dunno:

I feel like Loften & Dixon needed to get away from home, and possibly take the prep school route. I hope they get in, but them doing it their way for 17 yrs didnt get them into school, and Im not confident in them doing it their own way will get them in again

They need someone in the "know" to advise them on what classes they need and everything that needs to be done to get into UT.

One of the top athletes in the Southeast is Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy prospect Derek King. King stands at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds and is one of the most versatile recruits in the 2011 class. He is being recruited as a cornerback and running back by multiple schools.

He has more than a dozen scholarship offers but has narrowed his list to Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Tennessee is the team to beat for his signature, according to King.

"Tennessee is recruiting me the hardest," King said. "I feel like coach (Derek) Dooley is doing a good job changing the atmosphere down there. They are showing positive results in the losses. I've been down there several times and I feel very comfortable."

He has not taken any official visits yet, but he plans to visit each of the four schools on his list.

King listed a few factors he is looking for in a college choice.

"I'm looking for early playing time," he said. "I want to know the staff is going to be there for their players on and off the field. I'm also looking for a place with a great atmosphere."

He said he will make a decision soon after his last official visit.

I'm glad the new coaches are going after athletes on the edge. I wish we had gotten Mathieu. Stupid Kiffin( the star watcher)
