Long is a Joke. I have stopped watching comedy central and just started reading Hunter (Sandlot Kid, Truffle Shuffle, 10 year old, ) Long's thred. Seriously you UGA guys are celebrating a commit who your biggest challengers where Memphis and UT-M. This **** is so funny. Look at his picture on the first page.

No need to hate on this kid because he and his family hustled Mark Richt out of a scholly. Maybe Georgia is tired of losing kids to Tennessee and others so they are just going to sign kids no one else wants!

Not naming names, but that is what a lot on here are saying as well. :whistling:

Although we haven't exactly beaten the recruiting powers for the kids we have, they are still good players. I don't believe we have signed a kid yet that was head to head against ugag (GW will choose us) but ga is loaded this year with talent.

Seriously guys...why bust on a TN kid who got a D1 scholly to a big time SEC school and has the opportunity to get a free education? Better off than a bunch of you losers for sure...

Everyone talks about the inferior talent that the state of TN brings to the table, we ought to be glad somebody thinks our guys have something to offer. Congrats to Hunter...hope you do well at UGA man.

The kid performed really well at the Richt camp and impressed CSS alot. He did a great job against some guys that gave alot of the lineman there problems. He is being recruited as a OG. He will RS and work for his spot on the line. After giving Nash a scholly you guys have no room to talk about wasting them.

Except Nash actually got us something in Da'rick and also helps provide depth in a position we desperately needed depth at - Long doesn't give you anything considering you already had his brother in school.

Plus - look at the two offer lists - lol - Nash's wasn't great but certainly looks a ton better than Long's.

and Hunter will provide depth on the oline. As far as offer lists you really cant pay attention to those at this point. Like I posted on another thread here. If you look at Smith's offer list it is not great either but if you watch his tapes he is a phenomenal rb with great size and speed. How he got overlooked like he has and is only a 3 star is beyond me. CSS is one of the top oline coaches in the country and I will trust his judgement on this one.

Uh you are totally wrong. Now is THE time to look at offer lists to judge talent. Recruiting web sites have no idea what is going to happen. Coaching staffs have a closer insight to what is happening b/c they are eye-balling the talent first hand. Smith's offer list is legit man... IT ain't UT martin and UGA. Sorry but you are DEAD wrong.

Smith's offer list besides UT
FAU, FIU, Middle Tennessee St.,Memphis , Northwestern, Tulane, Pittsburgh and WF. Outside of Pitt and UT not all that impressive.

Did you leave Wisconsin out on purpose??? Do some real research. Tom Smith is head and shoulders above Long not even the same ballpark. Hell its not even the same comparison...

Hunter may provide depth on your o-line - but it is far from needed depth like we have at the QB position - have you looked at our roster lately? Georgia doesn't have any need to pick up scrubs like Long on the OL. They are in a far better position talent wise than us.. I could understand them taking him late in the year if they had a spot open - but doesn't make any sense right now.

The difference - and the most important factor of all you're purposely overlooking - between Long and Smith is the only reason Long got a legit, big named, D1 offer is because of his last name and Richt's loyalty. I don't claim to know anything about Tim Smith and his talent - so I won't comment on that - but I know it was a stretch to take this kid.
