12/1 AP POLL - UT #6

ASU is already ahead of Bama with the Big 12 getting an automatic bid. Some of you just ramble off BS without reading the rules. Geez!

Right but they aren’t ranked in the top 4. So whoever wins the Big 12 very likely will be the 12 seed because they won’t be one of the 4 highest ranked conference champs. That is unless the committee views two top 20 teams warrants the winner moving up the rankings ahead of Boise

Just imagine if our guy doesn't run into Arkie's kicker..........#2 or 3. But, we'd be in ATL with a chance of losing or getting someone hurt. So, as long as UT gets a Home Game, maybe better off. Get everyone healthy, who knows what can happen?
Either way could be good. I definitely would have loved a chance to end this conference championship drought. That definitely doesn't hurt recruiting. I also see the benefits of a home game. I do think the likelihood of injury in SEC championship game and helping time if you win to the first game we would play in playoff after bye is negligible to not playing in SEC championship game and healing up but having to play a game in first round.

6. Tennessee

7. Ohio State

Nice. For the visual learners, it’s like the following.

Green - 4 Bye Seeds
Blue - Host Seeds
Yellow - Last 4 At Large Seeds

Penn State vs Arizona State
Notre Dame vs Bama
Georgia vs Indiana
Tennessee vs Ohio State

Good breakdown. I don't get the love for Boise State, they haven't beaten anyone. I would think Big12 Champion should be ahead of them.

I was talking about ASU being ahead of Bama. If you can't reply to a comment I made, then don't quote my comment. I didn't say where ASU would be. I said they would be ahead of Bama.

But they wouldn’t in this scenario. ASU would be the 12 seed if the committee used the AP rankings today.

Being the 5th highest ranked conference champ gets you nothing in terms of seeding.

LMAO.

Are you sure you know the rules? Not being one of the top four conference champs means they would go into the playoff with an autobid based on where they are ranked. Which is BEHIND ALABAMA heading into this weekend.

Seriously love when someone calls out someone else for not understanding when they themselves don’t understand. LMAO.

This is a great sign they put OSU behind us! We still want Georgia to lose the SECCG. We shouldn't need it if they rank us 6 but it cartainly will help it Georgia gets a 3rd loss.

I'm feeling MUCH better about hosting a game now.

What in the hell are you talking about? A guy said ASU would jump Bama in the CFP in they won the Big 12. I said ASU was already ahead of Bama in the CFP being the Big 12 representative as of now. Again, keep your pie hole shut unless you have a clue of what you are trying to debate with someone! You aren't making sense!

Not sure why you think Georgia would drop for losing in Atlanta.

ASU is not ahead of Bama and winning the Big 12 has zero to do with it. Arizona State would be the 12th and final seed if today’s rankings were the CFP rankings on selection Sunday.

Georgia is only ranked 1 spot ahead of Tennessee. How in the world is it justified that they wouldn't drop 1 spot behind us MINIMUM for losing a game. That makes no sense at all to think they wouldn't move at all. Why even play the damn game if there's no down side for either team?

Are you that stupid or just looking for attention? I would say you are looking for attention. I will bite. In what CFP format does a 8 seed in the CFP host a 12 seed??? It is the 9 seed at the 8 seed in the bracket!
Where are you getting an 8 seed at? The coaches poll and the ap poll has Bama coming to Knoxville right now. That’s all we have at this point. #11 Bama at #6 Tennessee for now. It’ll probably change, but for now, that’s what I see. I don’t get my self ahead of the future, I stay where it shows for now. I’m not paying attention to the CFP at this point. That’ll come Tuesday night.

Correct there is no down side for Georgia. They win, they are 2 seed. They lose they hold serve and stay the 7 seed. The SEC title has zero risk to Georgia’s standing.

You’re not gonna see Georgia get penalized for losing in Atlanta when the team that would benefit from their drop would be a team that lost to Georgia. The head to head will matter.
