Where are you getting an 8 seed at? The coaches poll and the ap poll has Bama coming to Knoxville right now. That’s all we have at this point. #11 Bama at #6 Tennessee for now. It’ll probably change, but for now, that’s what I see.
Saban still wields a huge influence in his position with ESPN. He’s essentially a biased influencer who carries a lot of weight in the pro-Bama regime.Hopefully it stays that way. Bama has the 2 worst losses of anyone in the current Top 20, no business being in there. This is no longer Saban’s bama squad so let’s drop the bias
I don't buy it. Head to head doesn't matter if you have more losses than the other team.Correct there is no down side for Georgia. They win, they are 2 seed. They lose they hold serve and stay the 7 seed. The SEC title has zero risk to Georgia’s standing.
You’re not gonna see Georgia get penalized for losing in Atlanta when the team that would benefit from their drop would be a team that lost to Georgia. The head to head will matter.
We will not be #6 and we won’t play Arizona State. We will be #7 at best and #9 at worst. Likely hosting Ohio State or Indiana. No, rankings and the bracket are different. Plus Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Georgia all play and 2 of them have to lose. We really want Oregon and Texas to win. That moves us up to #6 playing likely Arizona State l
LMAO.
Are you sure you know the rules? Not being one of the top four conference champs means they would go into the playoff with an autobid based on where they are ranked. Which is BEHIND ALABAMA heading into this weekend.
You are right. I thought there was a team out of the top 12 that had an auto bid as well. I was wrong. I forgot about SMU in the ACC.LMAO.

Seriously love when someone calls out someone else for not understanding when they themselves don’t understand. LMAO.
I would think that we just need Penn St to lose to Oregon to secure our home game. They would have 2 losses and no win better than our win over Bama. They're the 1 team ahead of us that has no argument to stay ahead of us with a lossThis is a great sign they put OSU behind us! We still want Georgia to lose the SECCG. We shouldn't need it if they rank us 6 but it cartainly will help it Georgia gets a 3rd loss.
I'm feeling MUCH better about hosting a game now.
No worries brother. This system is a bit convoluted. You are right. I thought there was a team out of the top 12 that had an auto bid as well. I was wrong. I forgot about SMU in the ACC.
6. Tennessee
7. Ohio State

I agree if these voters make any sense. Indiana plummeted when OSU beat them. If Oregon beats PSU it should not matter that it happened in a championship game or the regular season. Head to head should only matter when u have the same record. The none risk for playing the SECCG is that you don't miss the playoffs with a loss. That doesn't mean u can't fall in the rankings with a loss. Teams have fallen in the rankings after a conference loss for generations.Correct there is no down side for Georgia. This. Georgia will still make the CFP if they lose but they should NOT get to host with a 3rd lossHead to head should only matter when u have the same record. And Georgia won’t with a loss. The record doesn’t matter when it comes to committee seeding teams. If Georgia loses, you’d be picking between Georgia - Tennessee for 7th and 8th seed which are at large seeds. There is one common factor between both of them and it’s a head to head result.Head to head should only matter when u have the same record. If this is the logic then Penn St losing the B10 will allow them to still host (only having 2 losses and one being in the title game) If that is true then there's literally zero chance Tennessee will get to host a game no matter what happens the rest of the way and I simple don't believe that is true. And Georgia won’t with a loss. Them having 1 loss more than us while we have played 1 less game than them isn’t a factor. The head to head will be the factor.
