I can't speak for GT, but I know the in state schools stopped because DB wasn't a priority for either.

I was wondering the same thing, kind of suspicious that all these schools would just stop recruiting him.

Bama, Auburn, LSU, Clemson all took higher guys on the board or had guys higher on the board that they feel good about.

If any of those 4 would have took him its where he would have went.

Works out well for UT though.

Elston is a big-time talent. Those schools all offered him originally for a reason. I have no problem landing a guy like him because the other schools are already full at his position. Tennessee at this point, does not quite have the luxury or roster that Alabama, LSU, and Auburn have.

Heck, who wouldn't be visiting Bama this wkd? A great chance to take in a game. I'm not too worried about it though. I hope Mr. Elston enjoys himself. I would too! Milk the recruiting process for all it's worth!

I've noticed that some recruits are named all-Americans (Meredith, Diggs, Elston, among others) but aren't ranked as highly as some other recruits who aren't given these accolades. What gives? Are the scouting sites just waiting to sort themselves out after the season, or is there another factor that accounts for this discrepancy?

Rivals just got some new film of Elston, Keith said he would have it up in a few days. Elston has 6 INTs this season.

Possible, but the way it sounds, skeeter and OCI have both confirmed that the staff is looking to upgrade the DB's again in this class. There is room for 3 DBs, obviously, but another position will be left behind.
