After watching his video a couple of times, I believe the kid has a lot of potential. Far more importantly, the coaches seem to feel the same way.

It appears to me that he and some others in this class will be the first players in the Dooley era that have a lot of talent but whom we will have the luxury of being able to redshirt them to give them a year to get acclimated both as a student and also to give him a full year to learn the system while getting stronger and putting on good weight. That is really the way it should work for all but the most elite recruits.

He ran a 4.5 40. Reveiz was a 4.6 on his best day. He Jumps much higher and is much stronger. He is an elite athlete. We will come back to this thread when all is said and done.

He is not an elite athlete from what I've seen. He doesn't have the quickness or explosion elite athletes have. When did he run a 4.5? I'll be the first to admit 40 times are overated. The only ones that are legit at the electronically timed ones. So far the only legit 40 I've seen from him was a 4.88 at that combine in 2011.

People also forget time and time again that every recruit that is considered a D-1 prospect is going to have relatively good/solid film. I think there are people on here that would view the film of every single D-1 type of recruit and consider him a "good pickup".

Think I will go with the Coachs on this. They seem to really like him and wouldnt have offered if they ddint think he was an elite type player.

Huh? The point I was making clearly went over your head and had nothing to do with the guys they ended up signing in February.

You are whining about the quality of players committed in June. How exactly was allowing Parker and Power to commit a mistake? They cut them loose when they got better players. Commitments in June mean nothing. It's just something for the inept to whine about.

If UT would hire all these Forum Coaches we have here on this board we would never lose a game.

You're right he's not an elite athlete. He's a good athlete with a a lot to work with. He's raw technically, has a long arms, good instincts, and good speed. A perfect first year redshirt or STs player.

I remember when this forum claimed Gionni Paul was a must get for our last class. I remember when this forum FREAKED out when Christian Harris committed and now people are raving about him. The recruiting forum is absurd and anyone that takes the internet coaches opinions seriously.

Also about christian harris

I'm just telling you that the program there is VERY average and does not have a track record of producing impact players. I am NOT excited about this kid in the least. He is not even mentioned around here. I follow HS football here and have never heard his name. Maybe I missed him but he has to be WAY under the radar. He probably would have been a stud at La Tech.

So internet coaches, let him play his senior year before you claim he's no good.

I see Tn signing a kid that the AJC says could be Atlanta's best kept secret and has been invited to camp by several SEC and ACC schools for evaluation.

If he's that good, why didn't he get offers from UGA, Ga Tech, Auburn, etc.?

Lol, have you heard anyone say anything bad about any player from the incoming class? This happens every year, every guy gets hyped up during the summer.
