The threat of the screen and the down field threats would put a lot of stress on a defense. Because Cross can be a legit blocking force in the run game at times.

All are valid points. The video I watched said he averaged 19.4 yds per catch. That's flat out ridiculous. The 9.3 ypc isn't exactly chopped liver either.

Don't get me wrong, I love speed guys (kimbrow) as much as the next guy, but cross is the type of everydown back we need. With Chaney as the OC, were never going to be a run first team, but we need the type of back that can make our run game steady. Last year teams had no respect for the run because it was either a 20 yrd run or a lose of 2. We need a back that can get 3 to 4 yards every carry to bring up defenses. I hope cross is our first commit after the weekend!

Kimbrow needs a back like this to run off of. Then you have Tom Smith and Marlin Lane. This will be a very hard nosed running game. Neal better get it together or he'll get passed. We will be looking to land one more RB too outside of Kimbrow and Cross. Dooley is building this team somewhat like the LSU teams looked under Saban.
