It's all good..I don't let it get to me. I spent part of the last month in Branson Mo, a week in Las Vegas and now I am in Kansas City for a few days. Next week I am going to be in the Mankato MN area as I am looking at a cabin and some property to purchase as a get a way type retreat. With the King news(He could commit anyday) and today hearing Bowles has commited helps to ease the recruiting tension. I think the traveling has helped me think less about the issues in recruiting as well.

That's got to be a weird dynamic between friends. Croom may be between Heg and a TN offer. Wow, that would be a little uncomfortable.

If they are true friends I think they can make it work. IMO...if Croom was not going to be a VOL and knows Hegedus wants to go to Tennessee...he would have already told the staff and Hedegus would have an offer.

I do think Jovan Bell could play a part in all this as well if Patterson or Croom commited elsewhere.

If they both want to be a VOL with only 1 ship between them....it would be tough. It may not be hard to take at all as Hedegus could earn a ship and we end up with both of them. Would the staff accept both commitments and tell Patterson there is no room for him?? I doubt it.

Patterson is the type of talent you reserve a spot for until you land him. And if he commits elsewhere, you keep on him until NSD. As stated above, I agree that it comes down to Croom. Would love to take all 4, but we need front 7 D in the worst way.

I'm all for offering Hegedus if we miss on either Patterson or Croom. Patterson is an EE so that will be over long before NSD. Croom is announcing mid August so that gives us plenty of time to recruit Hegedus before NSD should things go awry. Plus if Miss St. has a bad season we could always flip croom. Drae seems to be such a straitlaced kid, I doubt he'd go back on his word or make a decision that was hasty or not well thought out.

I personally think Hegedus should be given a conditional offer. The offer is commitable only if Croom or Patterson go elsewhere. That gives him the feeling that we want him (which is true) while also protecting against oversigning

Are we sure the staff likes Hegedus more than Juco WR Javon Bell? He actually has an offer now.

Even if Bell is a little better, I'd rather take Hedge. With our WR depth he could get a redshirt year and then be ready to step up. I don't see why the staff would take a JUCO WR at this point unless they are an exceptional talent(Patterson)

Makes sense to me. I agree having a kid for 3-5 years if you have talent already at the position sets you up better for the future.

Hegedus and his dad and uncle should be pulling into Knoxville this evening. Certainly glad about the Bowles commit, but hope he has an outstanding day tomorrow

Gotta respect Hedge for wanting to compete. Seems like he won't back down from any challenge or any doubter. I like it. He truly tries to earn his offers and respect everywhere he goes.

Must be in incredible shape, too. The guy has been full-go all Summer, it seems.

I like this guy.

Yep, I'd take him just because of his guts. That, plus the fact that he's a good receiver.

Id like to take this guy but if we have chances at more dominant WRs then id rather have that. The tough decision is for Dooley to risk next year top recruits. There would be a guarantee if we take a commit/LOI in feb this year with a better WR but there are no guarantees for next year even IF we take Hegedus.

This kid is an absolutel stud. Could be a 4 star by somebody with a great SR year. Hope he has a great camp and the coach's have no choice but to offer.Think he would be a Vol if offered. Would go great with Bowled,Croom and Patterson. That's three 4 stars and Charlie could be a high 3 or 4.

Sab, with Bowles in the fold, Patterson and Croom looking good... do you think Heg is worth an offer with where we are at?
