I know he's committed to NC State, but then we didn't make him an offer. Patterson is real high on both the UGA boards as well as ours. Either us or UGA is going to be looking for another receiver. Charlie has close ties to both and an offer from either would test his commitment. I kind of think if Charlie keeps having the season he is currently having, he will get some SEC offers trying to lure him away from his commitment. Stats after six games: 19 catches 414 yards and 6 TDs. They will likely play a couple of games in the playoffs, so his stat's could well be over a 1000 yards in receptions.
So glad we didn't take this guy here. He's probably a good kid but we've got much better prospects we're after.
Well, given NC State's performance against Clemson, I'm just hoping he doesn't help the Wolfpack beat us next year. UGA and Auburn are also starting to chase him hard. He is going to end up with a 1000 yards in receptions with around 20 yard/catch average. He's 6-2, 200lbs running a 4.42 forty. These "Much better prospects" must be very good, because there aren't many receivers in the country with those kind of stats. The recruiting analyst at 247sports.com made the comment to me this Friday that they believe Charlie to be the fastest receiver in the state of Georgia.
