Yemi (while played well the last two games) hasn't shown consistency and Hall is basically one more strike and done, not too mention Hall is inconsistent also. If Hall gets kicked off, the team if royally screwed.
You also forget that McRae, Edwards, Moore, and Golden can all play the 2 also.
How much 2 will golden be playing? Unless Armani proves to be a freshman stud PG, the answers probably 0.
Edwards is a 3 I doubt hell see 1 minute at the 2 unless there's injuries or something or maymon becomes a 3.
Jordy is more effective defensively at the 3 IMO.
As I've said our best rotation next year would've been to add a true pg. the 1 and 2 are our weakest positions and the root of most this teams issues are at the 1&2. The post is this teams strength.
Considering the 2 & 3 are interchangeable, it doesn't matter.
Is that why we saw so much of tatum at the 2?
And if that's the case then when CCM says we could see jeronne at the 3, that means we could also see him at the 2?
Point is there is a differene, in CCM system the difference is more defensively than offensively, but there is still a difference.
None of this really matters, as I and most have said our biggest weakness was the 1&2. With what was available and what our roster looked like it was the 1 piece we could add, and by adding it fix a lot of our issues. The biggest need this off season was to add a pg that way we could slide trae to the 2, immediately were a better team. I fear defensively we can be good at every position, but what happens when we face those quick guards again? I just see Trae having those same issues defensively, and I don't see a 6'6" Armani Moore being the Defensive answer, but maybe I'm wrong. You dont agree that's fine, but if you started a poll the vast majority would agree with this statement. Regardless, at this point it doesn't appear we will be adding anybody else, so it really now is a moot point.
Again, the 2 & 3 are interchangeable. Tatum was still a wing.
No they're not but ok.
There's a reason mcbee didn't play the 3, maymon won't play the 2, and tatum didn't play the 2.
As I said offensively they're primarily the same, but defensively no they're not.
Can some players play both positions, absolutely. But can all players play the 2&3, no.
Other than McBee and possibly Trae (who at this point doesn't play 2) it doesn't matter. McBee could play three and it wouldn't be bad if we played a smaller three guard lineup. Again, it doesn't matter. They are both wing positions.
If they were so interchangeable we'd have seen mcbee play atleast a little at th 3. Too bad he didn't play 1 minute at the 3 though.Again, it doesn't matter. They are interchangeable. And we aren't seeing Maymon at wing anyways.

Ok. Id be willing to place a sizable wager that at some point we will see maymon at the 3. CCM has already eluded to this...you in?

So Martin says Maymon might play the 3 some next year? Did you send him an email and jump his a$$ like you did mine?

No the differene is you saying basically he should start there and play most of his minutes. Im referring to him playing there maybe 5 minutes 3 or 4 times throughout the year against certain teams.
Kind of a difference.
And you know what if maymon develops into draymond green like CCM wants, I'll eat my words Puke em up and eat them again. If I'm wrong from what I said to you in that thread and maymon does turn into a starting SF and plays most his minutes there, it means he has really, really improved and as a result te team should be a lot better. So I'll gladly be wrong about it if it does come to that, and will tell you that you were right.[/QUOTE]
We'll see.
