Yes. Maybe it's an "official visit" rule. Memphis area prospects who come to play at the Finch would be on an "unofficial visit" if anything.

The type of visit doesn't matter. If there are prospects playing pickup games at a facility that isn't open to the public it is a violation. If a staff member is in attendance or had the game filmed it would be a pretty significant violation.

Well as he said its at the finch, it's current players, former players and prospects, and it has been filmed. Now the games may not have been filmed by a staff member, but the films are probably easily viewable online for the staff.

If this is such a major violation surprised te NCAA hasn't caught on yet, meanwhile we're all sitting here talking about it.

No staff present, besides strength trainer (I believe) and facility is technically "open to the public". Good luck getting through the doors if you're just some geek off the street, though.

Just another example of a college basketball program conducting business in the gray area of NCAA rules. It happens everywhere and as I have said before it's a prerequisite for success IMO.

I think the question about the Vols still being in play came from the VQ report saying we haven't offered. I think BTO has a little bit of wishful thinking about that changing. I assume we are out of room and an offer won't come

I'm with you here, especially since he would like to make his decision in a couple weeks time. Unless we have some unexpected attrition soon, there is no room at the inn for Fabyon.

It has been but a VQ report came out saying that we pulled our offer to him, and basically said we have no more room for you,


So I figured Fabyon going forward wouldn't include us if this were true, but he may just enjoy listing another high major as being interested. Who knows.

I'm still of the mindset that if this kid wants to come here you find a way to make room. To me hes a player at a position of need and immediately makes this team better. Jmo.

You are correct, im definitely still hoping we land him. As you said though unless something changes as of now we don't have a scholarship for him.

I know it's probably not CCM style, but if Fabyon wanted to come here id tell Reese to go to prep school, or still see about miller transferring. Fabyon would bring much more than either of those 2 to this team next year. I understand though that he most likely won't though, but hey I can still hope.

If you're looking at future years then yes I agree; however it doesnt look likely well be getting a big man in this class. I dont want to add anymore "project" type guys, I think we're last that.

I was looking more at immediately, and worry about the post when that time comes. IMO you add that immediate impact guard and were a 25-35 ranked team to a 10-15 ranked team.

You never know, some think stokes sticks around for 13' so if that happens and yemi progresses still, and you bring in nichols, now your post problems are pretty much solved. Jmo though.

Yemi (while played well the last two games) hasn't shown consistency and Hall is basically one more strike and done, not too mention Hall is inconsistent also. If Hall gets kicked off, the team if royally screwed.

You also forget that McRae, Edwards, Moore, and Golden can all play the 2 also.
