Also, it doesn't do any good to sign a highly-regarded JUCO player if the kid can't qualify (i.e. John Brown). With the new restrictions on signings, there is inherent risk of taking Patterson. That's a decision that Dooley and Co. will have to make. With the current players we are looking good with (and the current WRs we have committed), the staff may take someone else over Patterson. This situation is very fluid.

Welcome to the board. Glad to have another class act.
Been on the board for 3 years and you are the first I've come across to act like this. Congratulations, you reached this high mark in less than 100 posts!
And again I'll say it...I hadn't read any of your post and couldn't care less what you had posted prior.
So,
CP is not going to be an EE.
Does that disqualify him from Dooley's recruiting strategy this year? I guess that spot will be filled?
That's what I've read on here. If a JUCO only has 2 to play 2 and isnt an EE, he really isn't on campus very long. It makes sense to me, but I could deal with that baggage for a talent like Patterson.
If we are in on several more good recruits as OCI and Skeeter both suggest, I feel better about the fact that we may not get Patterson. I want CP as much as everyone else, but if we were to completely fill our needs on defense and pick up an elite RB, I will be extremely happy, even if we miss on CP.
What I tried to say earlier in the thread... be careful.
