you guys are nuts if you dont think they will take CP because he is waiting until NSD. There are a couple of kids you tell to look around if he is still a possibility.

ahhh i wouldnt be so sure. The staff has it's limits. We are not like florida in the slightest bit :)

He is a definate take but their two things that could keep him away from tennessee.One is that he will probally pick uga but i hope he picks ut.and two im not sure just what others have said is he may not make the grades.Im just a vol fan who thought vol lock a week ago but i just dont think that now.no inside info.

I would love to have Patterson - but think that Croom is the cream of the crop. Don't get me wrong, Patterson is the playmaker today and could really help Bray get to the next level. But Croom is bigger, just as fast, same hands and as physical as they come as a true wide out. I want Patterson on our team as much as the rest of you guys do, but I also want to see CDD continue with the rebuilding mode. Quick fixes will help him keep his job but it's these young kids that are UT's future. Croom and Pig and Bowles, IMO, will be as lethal as Hunter, Rogers and Patterson. If Worley and Peterman can get it downfield like Bray,,,look out SEC. Confident hell yes.

Don't forget that Arkansas has made a move for Patterson recently also. Serious passing offense, good QB, and they graduated most of their receiving corps.

I'm down to Tennessee having a 50/50 shot at Patterson at the moment. All up to Hinshaw and Dooley.

Yeah, but do you really think CDD will ask a commit to look around right before NSD? Or that he will leave a spot open in case CP decides to commit at the last minute?

IMO no to the first question & a definite maybe to the second. :hi:

CP has some talent... he looks to be special, but with the wr we have committed and other glaring needs on this team... I don't see Dooley holding a spot for him, based on a maybe... not saying that is what you meant by maybe

If he holds a spot for CP he believes we get him

CP is significantly better than the WRs we have committed and can contribute immediately at a thin position. Stop acting like the WRs we have committed make it okay to not land CP. They arent related. classic "we didnt want him anyway" if he goes somewhere else.

I was not saying that "We didn't want him anyway" what I said... if you read the post is

" I don't see Dooley holding a spot for him in this class based on a hope, if he does hold a spot for CP, then he(Dooley) thinks we will get him" JMHO

We would have a pretty good receiver class without CP, and a ridiculous one with him.

Nothing against Croom, but it's going to take him time to develop and by all accounts Patterson will be a difference maker by the end of the season. It takes everybody time to adjust to a new system.

Sorry.. Wasn't directed at you. Similar sentiments are throughout this thread starting around the time he was no longer considered a lock.

No prob............ I know, as soon as a recruit starts heading toward another school this board blasts him as "unwanted".... If CP wants to be a Vol... Dooley would be nuts not to take him
