I used to feel really good about this guy. I still want him, but I don't think we get him. And I don't think it's because he passes on us. It just seems like he's become a liability with grades, and now not an EE. Kinda like a really hot girl starts to put on the pounds and then you aren't so sure about her hotness.

If the staff wants him and we get him, awesome. He's a great WR, and would help us a ton. I'm just seeing some redflags here.

I still feel good about where we sit with Patterson. It will be a fight till NSD to get him, but the fight will be well worth it in the end. We need to continue to recruit him hard.

that is completely false on uga fans saying he would commit on the spot. i have just seen some vol guys say CP is 100% vol lock which is not true at all, never has been. CP has been clear he would wait til NSD to commit so this will be a battle all the way til then. Arky is a big threat for him and with him pushing back his commitment if they do get a visit from him that will make this even more interesting.

FWIW, he said today he is planning on visiting Arkansas this weekend(Dec 16-18th), but is unsure if he will be able to make it now due to family obligations. He said he'll reschedule if need be.

We are going to be full, and then some by signing day. They may part ways with some kids now, but I dont think they do it that late. I don't think we end up with CP. That really sucks. I think he would have made our passing game almost unstoppable. It is already going to be a nightmare for most teams.

We'll see if the kid qualifies in the first place. I'm honestly not gonna lose sleep over it either way. Much more focused on Davis, Sentimore, Autry and Mccullers.

Who'd you here that from? It seems to me that the same rumor just keep circulating round and round and round.

My thoughts: Patterson has first round NFL potential. He has a spot if and WHEN he wants it. Those saying that the coaches are trying to spook him into getting on with things badly mis-estimate the balance of power in CP/Tennessee relationship. He has elite talent, we need elite talent. Therefore he has the power.

I am not doubting his interest in Tennessee, I'm doubting our patience for him. Kinda like, "If you wanna commit, do it now.. or we'll fill up before NSD"

We've got two NFL first rounders. And some really good ones coming on in DA and VD, and 3 more really good ones already committed. While I would really love for CP to be a Vol, lets not get carried away about who has the power.

We will make room for him. There is no doubt in my mind. The idea that we are giving Patterson ultimatums is silly.
